To damn difficult, so for example, in Mosaic I make a 1 USDN, i can transfer that USDN to you and how it keeps the value of USD? similar to bitshares? it gets enough NEM's inside a box until the value matches with the USD? or how does that work.

I don't know anyone is planning to release USD tokens on NEM.

My NIS stops updating at block 879713 (~88 days), does anybody know what i can do?

If your nis is stuck, you either should sync from scratch or download a recent db from bob: bob.nem.ninja/nis5_mainnet-1002k.h2.db.zip

with nanowallet i wouldnt need NIS anymore, right?
can i trust the actual nanowallet version? is it anyhow more unsecure than the standalone?

Not on your local machine. The Nanowallet automatically connects to a node in the NEM network ( at the moment - " https://nemnodes.org/monitor/ " - but you can also change it in the upper right corner of the Nanowallet).

Why not. The Nanowallet using the most modern Crypto libraries and don´t send any sensitive data in the Internet. It also has a very high range of functions, it´s very fast and modern.
Meanwhile it´s the number one.

So i have to trust the node i connect to. Is there a chance to connect to an "unsafe" node? how can i, as an amateur identify, if the node is trustworthy?

There is only about four times more XEM than Bitcoin. That's because 1 Bitcoin = 100 000 000 satoshi and 1 XEM = 1 000 000 units.

NEM have had a very good media coverage over the last weeks. NEM is playing a more and more important role for blockchain applications in Asia, espcially in Japan and South-East Asia.

When O when will we see the public chain actually being used by someone? This private stuff is all well and good but it's also tangential. I'm not sure I've seen a single publicised project on the public chain.
