Hello all, I have some question What is the best way to get a Windows wallet? On the website it says NCC/NIS Installer (Deprecated)
The original NCC/NIS Installer. We suggest using Nanowallet, or NCC/NIS Standalone instead. Is the nano wallet for Windows? Secondly will the supernode always require 3 million coins...as that costs about $360,000 USD now. Thanks Nano wallet can be used on Windows, NCC can also be installed on Windows. https://www.nem.io/install.htmlRegarding cost of setting up a Supernode, the price has varied based on the cost of XEM at the times. There was a period towards the end of last year and early January where the cost of a Supernode was $30,000 and people were complaining that it was too expensive to set up. Going back further still to the early days around April 2015 to March 2016 the price of a Supernode was averaging around $300. Cost of Supernode is relative to the price of XEM and the stages of development and market adoption. Perhaps next year people may come back and say $3,600,000 is too high to set up a Supernode, or even $36,000,000 who knows? But looking at the fundamentals long term and market trends I can only predict the price rising. Thank you for your reply. I understand I can harvest with as little as 10,000 coins. Is there an advantage if I had 1 million Xem? Or do I need to have 3 million to get a substantial advantage?

I believe there is a linear progression of wallet "importance" for the more XEM you are using to harvest so it increases the chances of harvesting each block, so of course 1 million XEM would be more likely to harvest blocks than the minimum 10k

Maybe some "topological" sorting...

thanks for the feedback, I wasnt sure if it was truly linear or not but I know there is a progression for the heavier wallets as compared to the minimum harvesting balance wallets.

Just a heads up... The domain nemflash.com needs to be renewed. Clicking on the "news" link on the official page redirects you to a generic parking page.

Is there an advantage if I had 1 million Xem? Or do I need to have 3 million to get a substantial advantage? The more XEM you have in your wallet the more likelihood of you harvesting a block when you harvest. The more transactions you make, your importance increases, and increases the likelihood of you harvesting blocks. If you had 3 million XEM, then you can also set up your node to be a supernode. This node receives an additional "incentive" of a daily payout from a pot shared by all supernodes for helping support the network.

I like the fact, that NEM is NOT a completely anonymous platform. It couldn´t stand a chance otherwise, in the real world !
