I had never used XEM before but then I saw dimcoin ico is offering extra bonus for the investors investing with xem. And I bought some from the echange and dropped into the dimcoin ico. Then I took my bonus coins as well. That's awesome and I will try to support nem community after all.

If the remote node restarts or simply shuts down NIS, you are not harvesting any more. That is the disadvantage of letting a service do the harvesting, you always depend on the service being up and not getting restarted.
yes it is very bad Well you can always ask an owner of a supernode to add your private delegated key to the supernode config. Then it will always harvest when the NIS on the supernode is restarted. If you can't contact an owner, then just monitor your harvesting status around the time of an update (these are usually notified on the nem.io forums and on bitcointalk). This is the time usually when nodes restart after a version update is applied. You can check the nodes version number from searching supernodes.nem.io. Current latest version is 0.6.91. FYI, I'll be glad to add anybody's delegated private key to my supernode's config.

What happened to the proposal that was asking for 10 million or so NEM to develop a framework for NEM?
I missed the voting part and haven't read about it in a while. Did they get funded?

Nope. It seems to have fallen foul of some of the rules namely the need to provide milestones that have to be met. I don't really understand why the foundation itself was applying for funding when it has funding pouring out of its arse already.

what worries me about NEM is the constant really low daily volume. Seems to be from 2kk to 3kk most of the time. Very low compared to the other "top" coins.
This can be considered as the bottom price for NEM. Nobody is willing to sell at prices lower than this and it hits this point. Agreed, low volume indicates that the price is not correct. Only traders, robots and new XEM-buyers ... and cashier-whales are active with these prices in this course stability. Looks like someone wants to prevent XEM's rise : in Poloniex there is sold down at 3:00 and 6:00, even when it has seemed to be so that the price is rising even more. The price change is about 200 - 300, so it is hard to believe that anyone is day-trading in that gap ? He would get easier and riskless earnings by holding

What does this mean?
Poloniex: "XEM is currently under maintenance or experiencing wallet/network issues. Deposits and withdrawals will remain disabled until a solution is found, which may require an update from the XEM team. Any updates must be tested and audited before enabling."
There was an announcement from the developers to super node operators about a mandatory upgrade. I assume this is the same thing but they're not paying attention.

Not sure but the last 2 times there was "Xem is currently under maintenance" , there was a nice pump. Sellers cant get Nem onto the exchange

That would be a good consequence.
