According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

Well, it was an airdrop for early participants, but later you had to pay some btc, maximum 0.05 BTC. The price on the NXT asset exchange was more realistic, because you did not have to be an early adopter. You could buy 2.25 million XEM for about $500-$1000.

If the whole cryptomania is not a big bubble
(nobody knows at the moment) then 63 billion is even very pessimistic Wink

“It’s hard to accept that our setup is about to stop working — especially something as marvelous as techno-industrial society. But that’s exactly what’s happening. If you want a chance at keeping on keeping on, you’ll have to get with reality’s program.. The entire digital economy is going to fade away like a drug-induced hallucination, so beware the current narcissistic blandishments of computer technology” James Howard Kunstler

To bring this sacrilege around to this forum such quotation. But something approaches, it is obvious. Winter Is Coming! It makes sense to gain a foothold out of the Internet? https://forum.nem.io/t/the-silver-standard/6844

Has anyone here got their funds back from poloneix yet?

i had 55,086 in a wallet there i was trading for the last few weeks up until i attempted to draw it out and it gave me an "Error" message. never had any issues before ( And i've used polo for years!)  so i know it's no error on my part.

Naturally opened a ticket but it's been over a week and still no reply.

Starting to get a bit frustrated now. I wouldn't mind so much if they at least released a twitter or statement saying they're working on a solution, but as they play the silent treatment it does not bode well in confidence or trust.

I've been waiting for Level2 completition about 3 months! Yes, it's really frustrating ...

Anyway, does somebody know, if there is another comparable exchange (like Polo), that accepting and trading NEM ? Even after the long way of NEM into the TOP10 cryptogroup, (almost) all the trades are realizing thru (just) Poloniex. Which is not so good, I guess (diversity is important, within exchanges as well).

What is also weird - if you read price analysis on CoinTelegraph, they're analysing BTC, ETC, ETH, XRP, LTC ... almost everything from TOP10, but - usually - not a single word about NEM. Why's that ?

And finally a word about current situation - almost of altcoins are declining now (surely 'cause of BTC rocket rising), but NEM has the hardest fall from all of them. Could it be because of (almost) zero marketing and promo around Catapult, business partnerships, etc. ?

My friend deposited XEM to Polo wallet and forgot the message, he waited over 2 Month until polo sends him back...

You can trade XEM on BitTrex. It's a solid exchange.

I had a XEM withdrawal issue that went unnoticed for a couple of days.  The ticket I created with Poloniex got resolved within the hour.  Weird that some people sustain months of wait time for their resolutions.

I have had both sides of the coin.

First time it got resolved within an hour like yours. Second and third time I'm still waiting on them to release my funds after a week..

The issue is very simple because Bitcoin price is increasing so the value is kept reducing in the market. Don't worry it will take some time to settle in the market because once Bitcoin price settles at one point then the price of other altcoins will start moving upwards.

Price action is poor, Market condition is poor when shitty projects like NEO scam produce growths on hype, not on fundamentals (just like NEM have). But it's ok for people who want to buy cheap XEMs:). See my technical works with XEM (XEMBTC and XEMJPY pairs).
