Wow 52 million USD already raised by COMSA ICO! 14 million of it from XEM alone. Amazing...
Too much ... usually such tokens do not take off in price I personally invested because I believe in what they are trying to accomplish and want to support their efforts, ROI is secondary. If they are successful, they will increase the value of XEM. Any increase in the value of CSM will be cream on the top. Same here Tehfiend, I never invested in any ICO, With the exception of COMSA. I like the project, the team, the technical approach, and the huge potential of value COMSA will add to NEM. I invested in COMSA mainly to support their efforts in solving some of the major problems in crypto space today: A regulated ICO platform that is free of scam, atomic swapping exchange, NEM's USDT like tokens, cross blockchain tokens NEM+ETH, solid security features in unitizing a private blockchain "Mijin", and more. Where COMSA might seem to be just an ICO platform, in reality it is way much more.

This is really good news. I have never heard about CERT but after searching for it, I was surprised and realized about how influencial this authority could be.NEM is very strong in areas of Japan, Korea and in South-East Asia. It has a lack of adopation in China. If NEM could get a food into the door of the Chinese crypto market, then it would have a big impact. Sometimes I misses a marketing strategy of NEM. Such news could really be a big marketing leverage. More really great news: https://twitter.com/NEMofficial/status/897275399612256261Well done NEM.

Strange. $14 million worth of XEM. I taught we would get a bounce in the price of NEM when this sale started but obviously the buyers are not getting their Nem on the exchanges. The worry now is, are COMSA going to dump their new found wealth on the exchanges. Polo at least cant take any kind of sell pressure before a collapse of the price. Theres only 150btc stopping a crash to 600 sats. I haven't checked the orderbook of the other exchanges. btw this problem will repeat on every new ICO that Comsa runs. Each company wants $$$$ to get going and the only way to get it is sell the NEM you raise

The XEM market is way, way too weedy to cope with a wave of ICOs, but of course ICOs drive volume too. It depends though. If there are varying currencies involved there's no reason for anyone to choose XEM over a more liquid one so it'll be squashed flat over and over again.

But why would anyone buy XEM to invest some ICO's if you can use your BTC or ETH for that? Only thing which we really need is Catapult and some actual news about NEM nor Comsa or other stuff. Comsa imo will maybe have some positive effects if they really get things rolling, but if they'll sell 14 miljoona usd worth of NEM the price will crash and cause massive panic selling.

COMSA concept might be a bad idea for NEM in the long run for the reasons already stated. It might hurt NEMs credibility if too many ICOs start popping up with empty promises. Then it could be a really good thing, all to do is just wait and see what happens.

Seems China will just be regulating crypto markets, anyway BTC had the highest impact in China, but the price has been recovering as the rest of the world learns we dont need china! BTW... NEM is very strong in the likes of Japan and Malaysia, which are both crypto friendly...

All ALTs prices will remain stressed during October up until the expected November's Bitcoin Fork in addition to Bitcoin Gold fork on October 25th. The same as what happened before August 1st "Bitcoin cash fork". For that reason it is less likely to have any serious ALTs buy volume in October. In fact you should expect more drops as we get closer to Bitcoin's 25th of October fork then the expected 2x November's fork. This will impact XEM marketcap as much as all other ALTs.
The good news is huge bull runs are expected right after these forks. Bull buy waves expected to be much higher than the ones took place after Bitcoin Cash fork. Mainly due to the fact that these are the last expected forks "for now".
Bitcoin Gold Bitcoin Gold (BTG) plans to hard fork the cryptocurrency on October 25, creating another version of bitcoin in the process. The project was first made public back in July and was created by Jack Liao, founder of Lightning ASIC, a mining firm from Hong Kong. The fork will include the adoption of a new protocol that will change some of the consensus mechanisms relating to bitcoin. The result is that miners would be able to go about mining for tokens in new ways. According to bitcoin.com, the new BTG will make use of the Equihash algorithm that Zcash uses, rather than bitcoin’s SHA256 algorithm.

There's more here in the states and even that is pathetically low.
