Ethereum got much hype from the ICO bubble and it will end one day very badly as all of the ICO's will fail together with all investments. Vitalik acts like a genius who probably he is but he must spend more time on coding instead of talking bullshit. I think that it is good for NEM to be silent as all hype projects will fail and then will be the time to re-enter market safely.
When the ICO bubble will burst the whole market will crash, not only Ethereum! I am not a Ethereum holder, but I am sure that Ethereum will still play a huge role in the market! Not because they are soo good, just because they are popular...look at Bitcoin, the crypto world is not rational! A lot of those subscribers on IOTA are paid for, if you notice and go to NEW postings you will see the amount of complaints they get but they are drowned out from reaching their front page. Instead you see very shady marketing tactics so IOTA's problems are not known to those barely finding out about the coin.
IOTA is not the only one to use such manipulation tactics, bitcointalk has recently been getting attacked by a botnet posting nonsense.
Be wary of these projects that claim to do the impossible.
It is not only IOTA, any other top 10 coin has more reddit readers. And I don't think that it is all manipulated, it seems like there is a relation to the trading volume!

No, I really hate pump-marketing! What I want is just let people know that there is an alternative to Ethereum/ Ripple / Dash etc. Just tell them "Hey, we have the better and more secure technology" that's it! Most of the people in the crypto world still don't know anything about NEM. Look at the big crypto-youtubers, they are treating NEM as it were invisible. They always talking about the Top 10 crypto coins but ignoring NEM completely.
NEM is still so unappreciated, it is unbelievable, and it is really hurting every day more and more by watching other coins getting the attention which NEM would deserve!
I'll guess that it's going to be purely business focused which means they'll advertise in places no crypto buyer ever, ever looks. Hence I don't believe it'll have any effect on the price in the short term. They've consistently shown zero interest in pandering to the normal crypto market. I don't see them changing now. I really hope that this is the right strategy, but for me it seems risky, because you can't compare our present situation to the situation we had in the past. Big money is floating into the market, the total market cap is exploding, the competition is getting bigger day by day. You can't fight a battle only on one side of the field...

I agree, but listening to the viewpoints of others has never been the leading team's strong point. They seem to be dead set on the blue ocean strategy. This is valid but it's also unhelpful to ignore all the things exploding elsewhere.

It's possible that NEM isn't really designed to support certain types of features that new ICOs need, so the focus is not on them.

Well, for better or worse all of the focus is on speculation. And that goes for the increasing amount of professional money too. NEM is focusing on business and utility. That is of course the most sensible path, but that arrives after the filthy manic phase. There's a risk it might be drowned out in the rush.

It is not only IOTA, any other top 10 coin has more reddit readers. And I don't think that it is all manipulated, it seems like there is a relation to the trading volume! When there's over 354 TiIOTA locked away that users cannot get to and only one exchange that has it listed makes you wonder if it's not manipulated. Not only that, when asking about when the funds will be sent to the users of IOTA, all you get is "You must not be doing all the steps correctly" from the same accounts that keep posting in that thread. I am saying this as someone who has held IOTA since it was listed on the NXT AE by some of the early investors. But this is a NEM discussion thread, let's get back to topic

They did an amazing marketing job in a very short time! Now back to NEM;)

I agree with you. However there are differences which have to be considered. Since its inception NEM is following a completely different approach. No hyping, solid work. IOTA has a $100+ millions fund (or actually the IOTA Foundation has) that can be used to do a lot of marketing activities and attract technologists and experts from different domains from all over the world.

But this is a NEM discussion thread, let's get back to topic Oh, do we have to? I had no idea IOTA was that warped but I've never paid any attention to it. Getting Bitfinex was a coup but it does say something rather loud that it hasn't gone on any other exchanges since.

I noticed that NEM doesn't move much while Nxt and Ardr have pumped a lot. Is it possible that it will be NEM's turn soon?

Most likely. Just have a bit patience. When XEM will start to move it will move fast Just filled my bag with some new XEM using Spectrocoin. It works good and you can withdraw to your wallet.

Well its been noticeable that Nem is not moving as of now but likewise it will be a quick jumped Nem still on its decent value and I guess after seeing xrp and str moves Nem will followed just like what happened previously, we just needed to wait and see the future results, just keep holding.
