I will believe in everything in crypto world from now on. This is the last thing I was expecting. 200% in a day, after months without any movement. I doubt this had anything with WeChat, you cannot get additional $300 million volume based only on such news, there must be something else.

Maybe all the news from the past year finally got priced in?

It could be that Wechat users got into a buying frenzy on NEM, which seems to have cooled off. However, 43 cents is a nice level to "fall" to.

Finally my NEM is showing signs of life. I always knew this crypto would make a stance. The speed on the network is amazing. Now ofcourse as the price goes higher and the network is more used we can expect some tings to slow down, but it is still a very highly sought after crypto and definatly a healthy competition to other crypto's

OK, now the mania is over and the price has settled down a bit.

On the surface, the WeChat announcement seems huge-and a December 21st release means this could really take off next year.

Let's be self-critical here-what are the potential pitfalls? My guess would be that WeChat is Chinese and therefore there could be some government intervention/prohibition.

Anything else to think about? On the face of it, this seems huge, and that $5 price target for 2018 seems very doable (we may well end the year over $1).

If you have your private key you can
recreate your account by importing the private key into NanoWallet.

It is clear that the investment in NEM has always been considered one of the most reliable, since the platform and their token are generally underestimated. He has huge prospects in terms of development. If they start to conduct an ICO on their platform (how they are going to) then this will be an ethereum number 2 !!!!

Web chat new was out previously it was cashed out today i guess. I think NEM will have better adoption in future. Bankera is also using NEM which hasn't concluded yet. I think NEM will have a better future

The Chinese crypto market is crippled. As far as I can tell this is the equivalent of getting something on the Ios or Play store which anyone can do. If it did gain some traction then clearly Wechat is going to do exactly what the government will tell them to do and remove it.

I can only assume the reason it's slipped through is that Wechat or the government doesn't know what NEM is or care enough.

I think this particular news is a fun little development that got horrifically blown out of proportion.

It sounds like other interesting things will come to fruition soon.
