Apparently, there is a species of squid that can fly:  A species of oceanic squid can fly more than 30 metres (100 feet) through the air at speeds faster than Usain Bolt if it wants to escape predators, Japanese researchers said Friday. My grandfather on my mom's side would have been 109 today if he wouldn't have died at the age of 88. I learnt that his grandfather was a renown train engineer in Pennsylvania after the Civil War.
My grandfather on my dad's side was in the German Army during WWII.

I learnt that I can still shovel snow a ~week before my 53rd birthday. 3" last night, and the first time this year I had to use a shovel. Twice this winter I've used a broom and have used only 2 bags of salt purchased two years ago, for I didn't even need the surplus from then last winter. Up to three weeks ago, our grass was still green, but now it's tan. The lilacs were ready to pop buds a couple days ago. Got to blame it on the ASIC not being delivered on time causing all this warming.  |
