In defense of the dev, it is not a 50% premine. He is premining 10000 coins and 50% of those 10k will be sold as IPO which is 5000 coins @ 0.005 BTC or 25BTC.  My problem is not with the 25 BTC amount, he can try to generate as much as he wants, my problem is with the price of the IPO coins which I think are way over priced. I believe that when these hit the market they will probably go for around 0.0001 BTC per coin which would allow me to buy 50 coins for the same price he is selling 1 coin for in the IPO.  I guess we will see.

Ah... ok. Thanks for clarifying. Yes... way way overpriced. I'm not a fan of fixed cost IPO's anyway. Only a fool would invest in them. Once the mining starts, the miners will keep selling till the market adjusts to something that is equivalent to the current rental prices and network difficulty. No way is .005 BTC per coin going to be profitable.
