Hi There, Invite everyone who wants to exchange their blocked-on-poloniex currencies to try my OTC service where I act as a middleman. If you don't feel comfortable exchanging through me, we can use any other trustworthy party from trusted bitcointalk member who will take part in the entire process. Everything is clear and simple! PM me to get more details

Quick Update...I have a bit more time on my hands and I am able help out on a more consistent basis now. For those who don't know, I am Medic - one of the initial founding members.
If y'all point me to the right resources regarding exchange contacts, coinmarketcap contact, etc....that would be great. Also, getting Marking implemented on another exchange will be key to helping us achieve our short term goals... any additional ideas are always welcome.
Cheers,
Medic_007

I'm new to BTM and like to understand it more.
My questions is: - is marking trust flow simmilar to google search engine trust measure at all? Meaning more trusted sites are directing to another sites -> those sites get more trust?
I expect marking make sense when "big players = insitituions" will join as well as massive amount of single users.
So that to support a true community/infrastructure to make it self-funding , instituional players will get money for "marking" = authenticating specific personal details (checking id, and so on).
Also these institutions should have their own trust - and if that fails - it should not impact positively the users they marked as trusted before?
This way it could be simmilar to google search engine and websites trust flow.
Originally the project could be nicely adopted by services which build business on trust - are validating, checking and testing other services/products/companies to share knowledge.
I imagine in the future my identity / trust will be supported by some services/institutions which will be publicaly trusted themselves (based on historical reputation) + my social media network/other people ... so the trust/reputation could "flow".
If that is the case future of BTM could be greate as a realy unique service/system/network, which is needed by everyone already.
To sum up - my identity could be proved by my network + paid insitutions (my friends support me for free, instituions for money).

Status Update & Notesmedic_007 [11:47 PM][/b][/b][/b] @melvincarvalho Thanks & great to be here once more!
[11:47] I appreciate the info you posted and would like to add the following: (edited)
[11:47] >>>"To meet the increasing demands on support staff, the Trollbox has been disabled indefinitely and moderators have been reallocated to assist in support.Posted by OldManKidd at 2017-06-07 06:10:17" (edited)
[11:50] That is posted on the main exchange trading site....where the troll box use to be
[11:51] so I suggest that we: > - 1. Contact Tristan and see how to leverage their marking system/code/knowledge outside of the exchange...sharing that reputation algo may be something he is okay with...or not - but worth trying (edited)
[11:52] > -2. Reaching out to other exchanges that may want to capitalize on using Marking in this context - (now that Polo left a void) (edited)
[11:52] > -3. ...to be continued melvincarvalho [6:34 PM] [/b] @medic_007 hey medic, totally agree with your points 1,2,3 ... aside from raising tickets, we've had limited success engaging polo to date ... i guess they are super busy and we dont have much in the way of resources. It seems our top priority as it's your most significant marking deployment. Do you think it's something you might be able to help lead?
melvincarvalho [6:45 PM] re the hard fork proposal, I would say it's in R&D right now, but has achieved the impressive milestone of a testnet ... there isnt a consensus around the proposal (either user consensus, miner consensus or developer consense), the motivational arguments I find not as concrete as they could be -- eg there is claim of a double spend (which may or may not have happened) that are not yet documented anywhere, and any kind of hard fork has a high chance of failure ... I am however inspired by coins you are familiar with such as GMC which seem to have tweeked their difficulty rebase successfully to avoid the famine / feast issues of coinwarz medic_007 [10:59 PM] [/b] Glad we are on the same page & Yes, I will be happy to lead that effort. melvincarvalho @medic_007 hey medic, totally agree with your points 1,2,3 ... aside from raising tickets, we've had limited success engaging polo to date ... i guess they are super busy and we dont have much in the way of resources. medic_007 [11:14 PM] As for the TestNet, while it is in R&D at the moment, I feel that we should set a reasonable time frame in which testing shall be completed. A final decision shall need to reached at this time. As for consensus, we should address who is expected to provide input & vote. While a push to get a majority of our user-base involved, I feel it is simply an unlikely goal given our current environment. That said, we should revisit our consensus goals....

I think, the most important is to get poloniex deposit working again. It will encourage pools and miners.

We agree with that LeSmoke...and we are doing our part to ensure that the BTM wallet on Polo is enabled as quickly as possible. We're awaiting polo's initial response to our inquiry..we understand that they experiencing high volumes, so I think we are looking at about 10-15 days to get the wallet enabled once again. - after having the Poloniex BTM wallet disabled for so long, a couple weeks sounds like a reasonable proposition. Please keep the questions and commentc coming guys...the more input we get from y'all the better the Project will become

I'm interested in this project but don't like to keep investments on the exchange, so as soon as the wallet works, I'll consider investing.

Status Update:
Here is the support request I sent to Poloniex
Hi,
I'm the Project Manager for Project Bitmark (BTM).
- My name is Victor (a.k.a Medic_007 on our Slack). - Our Lead Developer is Melvin Carvalho - Network Engineer: DBKeys - Community Manager: Beaster
We would like to collaborate with the Poloniex Team and continue moving forward with our developments. The Bitmark (BTM) wallet is currently disabled and we would like to know what the necessary steps are to get Bitmark enabled. Furthermore, we are looking to discuss opportunities where our teams can work together and continue the development of our unique online reputation system "Marking". Marking was largely successful when it was deployed within the Poloniex Trollbox, and our next updates will provide a framework & passport for our Marking system to scale as an online reputation system.
Could you please provide us with a detailed explanation as to what the network issues are that lead to the Bitmark wallet being disabled. Additionally, could you please outline the requirements that the Bitmark Team needs to meet, in-order to get the Bitmark Wallet Enabled once again. Lastly, what would y'all consider to be a reasonable timeline for this fix to be implemented?
Cheers, Project Bitmark Leadership Team:
