Were you able to get it going at a decent speed, merge mining all those coins?  Bitcoin probably runs a lot faster than I remember it because of client improvements, but a lot of those alt-coins use ancient clients..

It seems to be working well.  I gave up on huntercoin for the time being, it kept crashing and p2pool kept throwing out of connection errors (I forget the exact verbiage).  Then my provider had some sort of problem and everything shut down mid stream.  But I think it's good now. Smiley

It's been running stable for about 14 hours now.  You can see the getblock latency.  Average right now is 0.2.  At 8.11% stale rate, 3 orphaned out of 37.  There are 2 users, myself included, and a third was there for a bit but seems to be gone now.

I mine at Kano's Pool because it pays the best and is completely transparent!  Come join me!

I just opened by own P2Pool node at mine.njbtcmine.net:9332  This is obviously located in NJ if you wanted to mine LTC too, connect to port 9327 at the same address.  Both Pools have a 0.5% fee.

Amsterdam: http://eu.centralcavern.uk

We have Israel, Iceland and USA ready to launch, but will only do so when there are enough committed miners in these regions ready to mine on our nodes.

see thread to register interest: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=655493.0

thanks

you pay amazon EC2 to run that?

what makes it a super node?   is it the 32core machine?  and you're paying regular instance price for it?  *shiver*

I'd say that what makes it a super node, and sets it apart from other well connected enterprise class hardware is the fact that it provides data for miners that can not be found anywhere else without a substantial amount of research...

I used to mine p2pool when it was worth it with my little rig but I haven't kept up with it for a while.
Is it worthwhile mining with a 7 Gh/s miner on p2pool or will I be receiving lots of little dust payments like before?

You are in a maze of twisty little passages, all alike.

There are lot's of different opinions, but I'd say 7 GH/s is not going to be worth it.

My current suggestion (and again, just 1 guys opinion) would be a minimum of around 40 GH/s

Here is the current slowest miner in the pool that is in the payout queen for the next block (i.e. had an accepted share in the last 3 days):

http://minefast.coincadence.com/miner.php?id=14PwjQQzvXCBT6HuEaA5UEPEajDefVsS5Y

Estimated @ 38.45 GH/s

Lots of talk about trying to figure out a way to accommodate smaller miners, but no working solution yet...
