i'm new to mining, does anyone have a .conf file for cannacoin i can use?

The Config file is created for you and automatically installed in the appdata folder if you download the windows package.

The coin is called CANNABISCOIN.

Those tutorials look like they are for cpu mining, what about gpu mining?

I see this happen with lots of coins. People who have the coins see the future and don't want to sell them until they are worth that price. People who want to buy coins want them for what they are worth today so that they can sell them when it goes up in price. It creates a stand still and not much volume. There isn't much you can do other than try to create media attention and/or new software.
