My new wallet seems to be synced and working properly for the last hour or two.
I removed all of my coins from it when the problems started (they are currently on BitTrex) and I will probably transfer them back soon (for staking) if everything continues to run smoothly.
As far as the future of the coin goes, I like the idea of having the investors/community vote for the the kind of features they want.
I think that one of the most important things (especially when it comes to newer coins) is to keep the community engaged. And by getting people to vote for new features it will create a natural positive buzz about the coin, and build a committed and supportive community around it.
Another important thing is to post updates regularly, even if it's just a few sentences about the progress on a project, a fix, an interesting communication with an exchange, merchant, service provider, etc.
Either way, I like this coin and the main reason is because the developer is upfront and seems to truly care about VVV.
It makes me care...
Much Respect!
