Other than a few ease of use features in the wallet my primary consideration for development is the security of the block chain.  I believe many coins miss out on this simple fact.   The core requirement for a coin is to maintain the blockchain in a secure fashion.  I believe the reason that Bitcoin is so valuable right now is not simply that it can be transacted at the most places, but rather that its blockchain can be trusted.  

I am not particularly sold on the long term security benefits of Proof of Stake.  I think it is probably a TEMPORARY safe haven as Proof of Work mechanisms are vulnerable to new coin start ups.  Low hash rate either means 51% attack or RISK of 51% attack, which in either case is death.  

My plan for Judge Coin is simple.  Work with the community to determine the MOST secure blockchain possible.  Then focus on ecommerce / utility efforts.

I agree and am glad, as you have always been, open to new ideas and keeping JudgeCoin safe and relevant as time goes on. Instead of a "this is how it is attitude, move on if you don't like it."
The community can tell people to move on if they don't like something with you or the coin You have been more diplomatic and willing to listen than any other dev or myself would have been!

Judge Coin Community Projects is now open!

Since Judge Coin is a community project I am opening a specific Project called "Judge Coin Community Projects"  within our Producteev portal for select community members.

There will be a General Discussions section within that project. Community members can pitch ideas for future development and discuss. 

For example... lets say that a community member wants to get XYZ website to accept Judge Coin, they would bring it up in the general discussions and if approved it would be separated out into its own task with that person in charge of running with it.

Happy TWO Weeks Judge Coin!

While it may seem forever while we wait for the PoW stage to end, soon that phase will be over.  Honestly, if I could do it over I would have shortened it.  However at this point a Hard Fork to make that change makes no sense.  In the end we have a nice supply of Judge Coin for sale on Bittrex: https://bittrex.com/Market/Index?MarketName=BTC-JUDGE

I have said from the beginning that Judge Coin will not make you rich in a week.  This is a long term coin.  We have a long road ahead.  If you are looking for a ground floor opportunity this is it.  Don't expect to cash out next week or next month and retire though.  This will take time and a lot of effort from people besides me.

While we are doing good for two weeks old, I think we need to do better.  We need to get the word out more.

yeah partly because of that.. also if more people come to stake, we would stake faster and end POW earlier..... but we should be able to finish in about 50 hours.. It looks like we are staking faster and faster....

Looking at the richlist shows me that the 2 richest addresses are holding 51% of the total amount of judgecoin at Bittrex.
Something I should be worrying about?
