Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

In the last two days the site has been hanging on me... It takes forever to load and 70% of the time the site times out. Am not sure if it's my machine or not...

The site is under constant DDoS, that's why I've added that "Please slow down" message.

http://blog.bitbargain.com/post/50906934644/password-bruteforce-attack
Many of the IPs are listed there.

This is temporary until I find a solution.

Why would it be? What's the reason for DDoSing the site? Bringing up a fake site and stealing passwords? I'd rather think it is not being able to serve that number of users simultaneously...

Yup, I hope the attacks end soon... I love the site and I'd love to continue using it even more.

Other than just being shit disturbers, why would anyone DDoS the site?

The same for me! Now many more ads (that's good), just tried to raise some coins but oops. After entering captcha I still get only "Could not connect to remote server". Have to refresh the page many times to get through...

I've just counted 28 ads (some of which I managed to get through yesterday), but now I'm stuck at "Take this time to view the site below"... Hey, I have viewed that site a dozen times already, wtf?

Yeah, works a lot better, but should change the prefix manually (which is still better than just sitting and waiting in frustration)...
