listen, all crypto is risky and a gamble. i happen to think this coin is worth a gamble on. i really hope so. i've had enough of mining a coin then see the dev disappear in a puff of smoke the next day. at least this devs been here every day so far. so as i said i'm taking a punt of this one.

who's gonna join me?

yeh i just rented 13 rigs. less than 80 blocks to go

At current difficulty if you rent at 0.00075 BTC/MH/day for the 1000 block reward period you'll be break even if you're selling at around 1200 sat/coin. Anything above that = profit. And the difficulty will most certainly shoot up. Anyway, that said be prepared for the price to drop below 1k sat in the next few days.

it is barely profitable at current diff, if the block value would be 1k now, 40Mh/s cost you 0.03 and produce only 430(430x4 with block value 1k) 1720 x 1200 about 0.02, and this at 450 diff...now do the math for a diff of at least 1k

why should anyone even sell or want price to go bellow 2k sat,,just mine and wait at home for dev. announcments

That's what the majority is going to do as they did so far, look at the price.

it is barely profitable at current diff, if the block value would be 1k now, 40Mh/s cost you 0.03 and produce only 430(430x4 with block value 1k) 1720 x 1200 about 0.02, and this at 450 diff...now do the math for a diff of at least 1k

Our calculcations are way different. I'm basing them on nethashps and I came up with 40% more coins/day at current difficulty.

Anyway, the 1000 block reward period will distribute a total of 1.440.000 coins. Even if one third of those coins would be dumped at for example 2k sat, you'd need 9.6 BTC buy support not to go below 2k sat which we don't have. I can't imgaine the price not taking a huge dive in the next few days and since the block reward will decrease from 1000 to 10 coin plus fees while no significant trade volume will happen will pretty much freeze the coin.

Your math looks correct but the price still depends alot on how the future plans of the coin the dev will announce.

just look at pool estimate, they are correct, right now at diff 470(was 470 when i made my calculations) you produce only 430 coins per day with 40mh/s

{
"blocks" : 8606,
"difficulty" : 421.10843373,
"networkhashps" : 26503799366,
}

{
"blocks" : 8610,
"difficulty" : 323.82327395,
"networkhashps" : 25943618605,
}

This is why I disregard the difficulty and work with networkhashps.

then the pool is wrong. but their estimate seems correct, at least if you try to mine you get that amount...

the avarage time per block is the problem, because apparently isn't 1 minute, this is due to the diff that change continuously, so 1440000 is the wrong number here

No I just forgot to change the OP, sorry Wink The 1000 block reward will start 30 blocks (the zero blocks at day 0) later. What you actually see right now is the fee system kicking in. Seems to work like it should
