I've lost count of all the coins I've researched over the years.  And I have to say, this is one of the most promising I have seen.  Great features, professional marketing materials, and never before have I seen a dev with such instant communication, answering all questions within hours.  Do a Twitter search for #FreshCoin and #FRSH, there is a lot of excitement and confidence over there as well.  Same thing in Bter chat and elsewhere, overwhelmingly positive and strong confidence.  The social sending feature is also a killer app, in my opinion.  Shortly after Dwolla (Paypal competitor with lower fees and more versatile) introduced their technology to be able to tweet someone money on Twitter, they almost immediately started to get a momentum of press following that; I think it will be the same sort of reception in the crypto community, once it is actually a live feature you'd better believe everyone is going to be talking about this.

Well Dwolla's high selling point was the flat fee structure. Free for $10 and 25 cents above that. Freshcoin's 1% transaction fee might come back to bite it.
Though IMO, not to pressure the dev but 5 months is an awfully long time in crypto space. So we need some marketing plan to spread the message along, maybe an interview on shows like LTB or something.

Oh my, I must have misunderstood some of the prior posts, I didn't realize there was a 1% fee to send.  Good point, if there's one thing other than development issues that will hold it back, the 1% is definitely it.

EDIT: Don't get me wrong, 1% isn't high, but COMPARED to the miniscule send fees for any other altcoin it might be hard for the average enthusiast to swallow.  One idea is to go the route of what poker rooms do for high stakes games and implement a "cap".  Basically, there is a flat fee, but to avoid things like paying a $100 fee when you make $10k you would limit it to a certain dollar amount.

Op state fee is 0.5%. Is it 1% or 0.5% ? Imo, fee should change to 0.1%. Don't have to give so much fee to miner. People will mine the coin regardless of fee. Coin should benefit user and not miner. Having 1% fee benefit miner more than user. Please lower the fee to 0.1%

Guys it's the idea not the numbers, number can be modified at any moment accordingly, it's the idea that makes this coin brilliant.

thanks for all the nice messages guys! I might decide to lower the fees later, but for now 1% is a good fee to keep the miners happy If the prices are better I will consider to lower the fees.
