Awesome! Are you going to offer these as a kit? Would love to assemble one.

Once tested and working, why not. The idea was to offer assembled boards, but kits can be done for those who'd like to try assembling. SMD soldering for some parts might not be easy if you aren't used to do it. I'll probably get/make a stencil once the design is validated.

I'm looking forward to see it. You already tested the design, so you won't discover if it works or not as I do.

Quick update. The stencil went quite good, the first board is soldered.
The bad news is that I managed to make 2 midstakes in the design, the USB hub isn't recognized in windows.
But the "useless" boards will allow me to solder the necessary components and to connect wires between boards to have a working ugly prototype and validate the new design. I already updated the schematics and I'll try to have something working today or tomorrow.

if you manage to fix up the "ugly prototype" you can send it to me, and i will start working with cgminer, the faster we get cgminer up and running the better :-p

J4bberwock did you get to test your idea of changing the board from chain to single on each chip?

Not yet, I was quite busy with other things. I'll try tomorrow. For the prototype there are some pins that I can't connect as I want to make the ugly prototype. To make it short, I started to work on it as 3 separated usb ports on the usb hub chip, and finally switched to 3 ganged ports. The second mistake was that I forgot to set the pins for the "always connected ports", and I connected them to the wrong input, 2 and 3 instead of 1 and 2. Since I'm using the cp2102 to generate the voltage for tue usb hub, I can't do anything. New boards already ordered, with slower (and cheaper) shipping. I should get them within 10 days, worst case. And I still need to try something on the software side with the actual cheap cp2102 USB converter tomorrow. Maybe changing drier could help when the usb was detected but not activated. It took me a few trials to get the cairnsmore working, so I thought that installing winusb with Zadig could help for the cp2102. or going back to the original driver if it's already winusb.
