Also based on 8000sats then we are talking about a maketcap of 500BTC, or more then $300,000  for a coin that doesn't offer anything special, i'm wondering how IPO investors will make money on this one? Do they think that it will double? If the IPO price was 2000 sats then i would have join, but a coin with marketcap of $300,000 is pretty high.

Do people get some weird personal satisfaction from creating fud? This is not only strange behavior but just plain weird. If you don't like a coin simply don't invest. Everyone who has been in crypto for years knows half of all ipo's return 100-200% profit but obviously it's a gamble in EVERY coin (ipo, premine, or nothing). TLDR stop being pompous people.


PS: when a dev team does not profit from their own creation this is the first indication to run as there is no chance they will develop it for free. Just like i'm sure none of you work for free right?

I completely agree with your "PS". I think the concept of IPOs is in many ways fair to the devs as they can get paid for their work and fair to the investor, if they can get some cheap coins in exchange.

However, even putting aside the many previous IPO scams (for this conversation), it is imperative to the alt coin community that the deal is fair. Paying 8,000 satoshis is just too much for this coin. As many have pointed out that is paying about $300,000 (market cap wise) for a brand new venture. Not only is that a lot in any way of thinking, but the risk/reward for the investor is just unfair. As we all know, the dev could take the money and abandon the coin completely. But, even if he didn't and he turns out to be great, 80% of the coins will be mined (and quickly) and most of them will want to sell.

So, you have a situation where the ICO investors are taking a big risk, first in the investment and then in the inevitable miner dump. And for what? Where is this coin going short-term? 3 million? 2 million? Even $500,00? I doubt it.

Finally, this is not FUD. It is important for noobs to know the truth. Maybe, more importantly, it is a good way to remind people that buying ICOs at these prices only encourages more to do the same. I mean the dev isn't even giving the investors any unsold coins -- he's destroying them for goodness sakes.

it could very well just be a trader looking to dump some after deciding they may have bought too much.... (reason - I've done that lol).

It actually negatively impacts the IPO from the dev's perspective, as the dev is not receiving additional BTC for more ICB being sold.  That said, it wouldn't be the dev or his friends.  It could be someone suffering from buyers remorse and wanting to sell the coins they just purchased after changing their mind.
