Initial coins offer (ICO)

Our ICO was hosted by Bittrex and Escrowed by Bittrex-Bill.
We sold 1200000 coins on the ICO at 0.00008 BTC per ICB. 19.2% of the total Icebergcoin supply was sold.

The Fair distribution phase was performed succesfully, our team sent 30 free coins to each partipant, manually reviewing and discarding fraudulent and repeated accounts. Now the promotion is over. NIST5 was introduced by Talkcoin. NIST5 chains the 5 final candidates for the National Institute of Science and Technology's SHA-3 hash competition, which were all selected for their performance & security. The premine block was sent to Bittrex, and then 5000 blocks were mined with 0 reward until the launch date. This took place during the ICO phase to keep the blockchain working at regular time (As Bittrex forced us to do).
When the ICO was finished, we launched the coin to the public, and the original structure performed as expected:
Block 1: ICO + Bounties + Fair distribution reserves
Blocks 2-5000: 0 reward
Blocks 5001-5101: 10 reward
Blocks 5102-15098: 500 reward
Block 15099: 0 reward (end POW)
So final number of coins in POW phase will be 4.4 million ICB

Not to rain on an ico parade, but has bittrex instituted any of the ico rules that poloniex has? Meaning.... instead of this: The ICO will only be released after Bittrex check that everything is working fine. If there is any problem they will return all the investments.
All the funds collected in the crowdfunding will be invested in hiring new full time developers, advertising campaigns, voting systems, business deals, etc. They hold all funds UNTIL you use them for what you say you will. So you hire a developer, then bittrex gives you the funds and verifies their proper use. Advertising, deals, campaigns, same thing. You don't get anything at all meant for the coin until you actually use it. So many ipo coins have cheated people, DCM being the most recent one. They made grand promises, and all investors were supposedly protected from 'catastrophic loss' via the ipo funds (their own words). You can see how well that worked out. |
