with time. you will see that most of the 3000000s coins are created by less then 15 people.

makes you think why people are shocked when coins fail.

There have been some other coins.

What we REALLY need is like Brazil Coin and Singapore Coin and Germany Coin and etc. And make it where those coins pay people to translate articles from English to those countries languages and vice versa.

There should be a coin that instead of transactions, it facilitated some kind of IBM "Watson" robot type block chain that would answer any question you ask?

The reason to make a new one is because there is meant to be an ecosystem.

Coins are not there for new people to find and mine, coins are there to trade for one another and support bitcoin.

NEW coins made (by you) are for you and your friends to mine, or for your school to mine, or for your team to mine, or for your WoW clan to mine, or whatever.
Then those coins are to be traded for other coins and used to support Bitcoin.

why not using bitcoin directly?

Because it is extremely hard to mine, and expensive to purchase.

Pretend I am 14 and I come to this thread. Not only am I 14, but the only reason I have a computer is because there was a company running a program that gives kids in the ghetto Tablets with a bunch of books and internet access.

Now...
How can I (the 14 year old with only a tablet) EVER hope to get in to Bitcoin? I can't.
BUT
If a friend of mine makes a NEW coin, and tells me about it, then someone makes an app for Droid mining. Now I (the 14 year old) have a chance of actually breaking in to the Bitcoin market.

You also can text your friend who have some btc, and buy a little bit for real money and now you are in, why not do so?

The kids family can't even afford a tablet, what makes you think he has ANY money?

Monopolies are awful. The altcoins are a great way to make the cryptocurrency ecosystem more fair, since people have a plethora of coins to choose from, all with different communities, values, and technologies. Also, the profit potentials are quite higher with them, when investing in a legit altcoin.

Has anyone made an Altcoin to finance a political campaign ever? Like "Suppot X Candidate by mining and donating X coin"

And someone should make a Joe Rogan coin, he would probably think it was awesome and it would get coverage on not only this thread, but it would probably get pretty good traction in the thread on JoeRogan.net and he would probably talk about it on his podcast at some point.

Too many people are launching these quick little scam coins. Yes, any 24hr POW is most likely a scam. These coins are saturating the market, and destroying cryptos. Too many investors are being put off by the abundance of scams, and cryptos needs some real coins to step up. Check out GreenBacks when we launch. It will be a coin that is actually worth taking the time to check out.

GreenBacks: A Complete Currency - Launching Soon!
