The ticker symbol showing at exchanges is not connected to the smartcoin wallet, so has no effect at all on the wallet.

Could either put the smc in brackets on the page, or put the SMART in brackets on the page with a brief explanation, but it has no effect at all on the smartcoin wallet, so no matter what the smartcoin wallet says, it has not any effect on what is the word for the ticker symbol at exchanges.

People could see the word 'SMART' as the ticker symbol at exchanges and learn that in the wallet it says smc.
no big deal, and no rush to change the wallet.
But, it might attract investors if they see the word SMART instead of the word smc at the exchanges, is what i think.

Therefore, the reason given for not changing the ticker symbol to smart at the exchanges doesn't seem to be quite true, when in fact it could be done without any changes to the wallet at all. People just realize when they are buying smartcoin that the ticker symbol says smart, but the acronym in the wallet is smc, and the acronym in the wallet isn't quite the ticker  symbol anyways. It is merely an acronym, so the ticker symbol is separate matters from the acronym in the wallet.

But I think we would need psionin to ask the exchanges to use smart instead of smc at the exchanges.

I see confusion if this happened without having the entire ticker of SMC changed over. Looks bad if exchanges have something different than what the wallet has.

Personally, I agree with Psionin. I don't think it would make a big difference either in terms of popularity and as already mentioned, using an adjective as ticker seems kinda weird.

Agree Bitbets, going back to Feb/March year ago, there was time when price was higher than 2k sat and it was on poloniex as far as I remember.

The Smartcoin info page at cryptsy is badly outdated,

and needs to be updated, with the newer lightbulb smartcoin coin,

and newer information.(it still says there is 51 million coins, but there is only 24.5 million coins all time,
and that was changed last july wasn't it? So since last july no one updated the info page at cryptsy? )
