Requesting Smartcoin community feedback,

in regards to possibly asking cryptsy.com

to change the ticker symbol from SMC to SMART



I think people are overlooking smartcoin because they don't realize it's smartcoin

when they see the SMC ticker symbol in the list at cryptsy.


Whereas, I think if the ticker symbol was changed to SMART,

I think smartcoin may get more sales.

I think people will want to buy SMART but don't know what the heck SMC means...

When changing a ticker, there's more to just asking an exchange to do so. There's codework involved.

I think most code is written for not more than 4 letter ticker symbols. I know one exchange had to do quite a bit of work to use 4 letter tickers as they were coded for not more than 3. I don't think its simply changing it. The block explorer I'm working on took a lot of time just changing BTC to SMC and I still missed it in a couple places. Don't care to do it again.

Do it! It is as easy as changing SMC to SMART in the list...contact cryptsy and have them do it!

Don't contact cryptsy until we have a uniform ticker change all around. Idc if we change it, but let's not have 2 different tickers at one time, that's not so 'smart', lol.

one thing about polls, you should include the neutral option and the "other" option:

-SMC
-SMART
-Either one/doesn't matter
-other (please explain, PM the admin if you need anonymity in the community)

You'll get more accurate results and better info.

i vote 3rd option, but I'm not signing up at another forum yet. Maybe if you make that RPG...

Nice and slow increase of price on Cryptsy.

Agree to use SMART instead of SMC but this will need to be officially modified including wallet to avoid any confusion.

Yep, what's the next thing on the agenda? Imo, spent too much time on the logo, let's look forward.

Psionin, next wallet release should include ticker change to SMART, seems some, if not most, people like that too.

Now that SMC.. errr.... SMART has been rebranded, let's do something with it.
