Hi,

Is it possible to get awesomeminer to display gpu stats when connected to lolminer/phoenixminer using external miner function?
Awesomeminer displays hashrate but nothing else.
When using the External Miner concept, Awesome Miner can only display the mining details provided by the mining software. For GPU it can typically include the temperature, but not all details you get if the mining is fully controlled by Awesome Miner or Remote Agent.

Hi Patrike,

Lolminer for example provides most of the important gpu stats in json format:
            "Index": 0,
            "Name": "AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT",
            "Performance": 43.13,
            "Consumption (W)": 72.001000000000005,
            "Fan Speed (%)": 51,
            "Temp (deg C)": 57,
            "Mem Temp (deg C)": 88,
            "Session_Accepted": 52,
            "Session_Submitted": 52,
            "Session_HWErr": 0,
            "Session_BestShare": 930349369113,
            "PCIE_Address": "3:0"

awesomeminer already display these stats if using the remote agent. Could we get them included when used as an external miner too?

overclock options:

I need to setup some clocks to 2050 or 2060:

AM overclock tool only goes to 2000 at memory:

Can you change this to acept higher values?

Awesome Miner was already reading a number of these properties for Lolminer, but was missing a few important like fan speed, temperature and power usage. They may have been added to the Lolminer API at some point. I will improve this in the next release. Thanks for your feedback.

For Phoenix Miner via an External Miner I can already see the fan speed, hashrate and temperature reported for each GPU. Power usage isn't provided by the API.

I assume this is for AMD on Linux. I will increase the limits in Awesome Miner but please note that depending on the GPU there can be limits elsewhere.

AM is limited by BIOS of your GPU. So you must change your BIOS first and set a higher mem clock limit.

Yes, Awesome Miner tries to detects the limits and use the limits reported by the GPU. For some GPU types this detection isn't possible and in that case Awesome Miner did have some internal limits as a fallback (and these are the only limits I can make more relaxed).
You are fully correct that the GPU can be limited elsewhere (BIOS) and this also must be considered.

Hi Patrike, AM need some improvements.
Please add to "Profit profile" in Overide section a possibility to overide a miner software CUDA version. At the moment is it imposible to set a CUDA version for mining rig explicit, only global for all rigs.
Now i have rigs with NVIDIA 3xxx cards and with NVIDIA 2xxx cards, T-Rex 0.19 better work on 2xxx cards which compiled for CUDA 10, but 3xxx cards work only with software compiled for CUDA 11
Will be much better if you add a possibility to set a CUDA version for each card in the rig. If somebody have a mixed rigs, this will be very helpfull.
Regards

For each rig makes sense, but every card? how would you realize it? a miner can not set cuda per card.

You can change the cuda version of a miner software in options. add t-rex as extra miner software with cuda 10 version, so that you have the ability to choose cuda 10 or 11 in miner properties.

Yes, split your rigs into multiple profiles and set them to the cuda version you want. Thats how I did my mixed rigs. I have no idea how to improve this in a way, without making things to complicated. But maybe Patrik have a solution in his mind Smiley

all my rigs build with the same card type, my sentence was to made AM more friendly for different (mixed) rigs. Thanks for knowledge, how the CUDA work.

What you mean with different profiles? Every profile consume a license?

can you explain how you configure a profile? I am understand that you create new rig with some selected GPU, but how you define for this rig a CUDA version? Or i am wroong and you have other way.

He do it like i explained. Go to option ->managed software -> and add t-rex miner as user defined software and chooes cuda 10. When you now want to select your mining software on a rig, you have 2 t-rex miner versions.

I do so for mixed rig with amd and nvidia cards.

Yes. I'll upload both cuda versions to the whole rig. Split your rig into multiple profiles, for example 1 profile for all cuda X cards and 1 profile for all cuda Y cards.

In each profile click on the miner in the left list -> Configure and select the installation path/cuda version of your choice.

Patrike,

When using "Run mining process with Administrator privileges", srbminer-multi just shows a blank console. It still mines, but there's no visible output.

Yes this can happen on many different miner in AM, not only srbminer-multi.

@Patrike

Can you take a look in MiniZ miner. AM used the 3h Average hashrate for reading and not the realtime hashrate. Maybe you can change it and add the 3h average as average mining speed, like teamreadminer.

@joseph32

if you do it right, you don´t need to upload 2 softwares to your rig, you can all do with automatic download and so on. Grin
