linux up..
does the current DS master compile? there was some revert sometime ago..

I just reverted back as a lot of code was committed that needed a rollback.

Clone now and you should be ok.

However, I have changes I need to implement such as addrman changes, net changes, header re-ordering and a fair few other bits Smiley

New Silkcoin folder updated for quick sync  including nodes
For Newcomers
download and install the silkcoin wallet first
start the wallet for a minute or so then exit
Get the updated files: Download the silkcoin.zip file, it's around 900megs..
Files here On Google Drive

Then use the search feature for windows, and search for %APPDATA%
Once you're there click "Roaming" then goto the Silkcoin dir.
This is the folder where silkcoin wallet keeps the data

Then extract everything over, everything from silkcoin.zip file, into the silkcoin folder you found in the %APPDATA% search. Overwrite all.

Don't delete or play with your wallet.dat file.

PS: You only need to do this in case of trouble, loss of data, no sync wallet, or new to the silkcoin

Good syncing

Download the silkcoin.zip file, it's around 900megs. Extract it once it's done.
Then use the search feature for windows, and search for %APPDATA%
Once you're there click "Roaming" then goto the Silkcoin dir.

Then move everything over, everything from the extracted silkcoin.zip file, to the silkcoin folder you found in the %APPDATA% search. Overwrite all.

I just confirmed this works, and gets you to a fairly recent block height. so you don't have to wait for your wallet to sync.

You might have to move the files over as admin, there should be an option for it when it prompts you to overwrite.

Don't delete or play with your wallet.dat file.
Your silk should show up once you're done
Good syncing

Is this link for a mandatory update to the silkcoin wallet or is it just to help people sync quicker?

Just to help people to get up to date in case of trouble no sync no connections
and for newcomers on the Silk network
updates twice a week

yep, but argon branch has as i see:
    uint256 GetPoWHash() const
    {
        return hashArgon2d(UVOIDBEGIN(nVersion));
    }

is there a live chain for it?
