I managed to put back the saved blockchain every time there was a problem and it worked
Can anyone upload the synced blockchain so I can try that?
I am on Silkcoin v1.1.1.2-g32a928eBETA

Try to sync your Silkcoin blocks from me - 82.8.176.59

1,164,191 Blocks in total and fully synced.

Just found this post and edit the conf file with just this node
addnode=82.8.176.59

it seems to be syncing again
I'll let you know

Anyway why is that it started working only when I added SLievensDRKSLK node?
Does it have anything to do with Darksilk?

Working now but SLOW AS HELL
I have to catch up
1216719-1193466=23253 blocks
and judging by the speed 50 blocks per hour it will take weeks

So can anyone please upload the synced chain to google drive or somewhere else
from AppData\Roaming\Silkcoin folder
Please

If you addnode the block explorer for Silkcoin you will Sync 100%.

If you get stuck, restart the wallet and let it resume syncing.

You will get there Wink

(Also DarkSilk has nothing to do in terms of connectivity with Silkcoin, two completely different networks)

Just purchased 515,410 Silkcoin. I also have 230,000 in buy orders. Thinking of breaking a million  Grin

Should I do it?

It was a rhetorical question.

I will get some more if someone decides to sell 500k on the exchanges.

Keep up the great work guys I'm looking forward to Drkslk  Cool

I'm still waiting for someone to upload the synced blockchain
Please it only takes few minutes and saves us all of days of syncing

If someone wants to start on Silkcoin he would definitely quit this coin if the wallet syncs at this rate, not good for business  Angry Sad Cry

Your first two sentences were legitimate and respectful. Your last spoke of a true noob. Business is just fine considering the infancy of alts.

I see you have been interested in silk for quite  awhile but cmon. Maybe review a few pages or even a couple posts before yours and realize the dev is extremely busy testing a new release.

The wallet syncs just fine and you don't even need a conf file. Open the wallet and walk away or continue working or gaming or surfing...whatever it is you do that makes waiting for the silk wallet to sync such a horror.

Sorry for being blunt but take a breath before typing disrespectful comments towards a dev who is not on your payroll but still works to improve your future.

This will take you to block 1,014,647 - https://github.com/SCDeveloper/Silkcoin-Blockchain-Bootstrap

Or you can wait till I create a new blockchain.dat

Sorry guys if I was disrespectful
I was hoping someone else had the same problem and could give me a solution, this used to be a friendly and helpful community for me
I wasn't asking help from SLievensDRKSLK, but I have to say that he was very kind, him alone would make me go for Darksilk
I'll guess the last resort is to reinstall OS and everything else and start from scratch
Sorry again

Thanks mate, but I'm on 1194525 block
Please don't bother anymore with this, I'm sure CryptoJohn is right: the issue must be on my side since other wallets sync OK
I've plenty of time this week to try all kinds of things
Thanks again for your help

I would suggest backing up your wallet then wiping roaming/silkcoin folder and start from scratch w/o a conf file.
