Dear Navajo Coin Community!

Thank you to everyone who has adopted our anonymous transaction system so far. We have had a great launch of our platform and we hope that it has enabled you to protect your privacy while making value transfers over the internet.

Since the system launch on the 23rd of March, we have been tirelessly working towards making improvements to the system. These improvements are ready to be implemented across the anonymous network.

To implement these updates to the network, we will need to take the anonymous transaction system offline for a period of 4 hours.

The outage time will be roughly 9 hours from the time of this post:

1 April 07:00 GMT - 1 April 11:00 GMT.

Despite the date, this is not an april fools prank.

During this period, your wallet will not allow you to send any anonymous transactions. You will receive a notification that the system is down for maintenance.

If the maintenance takes longer than expected, we will post another announcement here and update the message on the wallet.

Thanks for your patience, we will be back protecting your privacy better than ever very soon.

The improvements I've made so far are:

• I've restructured the sending algorithm to be more efficient. Some of these algorithm improvements are also part of moving the scripts towards being distributable.
• I've added some extra error catching, around what happens if we are unable to decipher the encrypted destination. The node will now return the coins to the sender if it is unable to decrypt and verify the destination address at the entry node.
• Rather than rounding the final transaction amounts to factors of 10, it now will send the amounts to the final destination in a randomly selected amount of transactions, each with randomly allocated amounts to help obscure the transactions further.

Once these updates are in place, I will move on to porting the anon scripts to node.js and we can be one step closer to releasing our decentralised nodes!
