Yeah the network is getting very small and smaller ... the smaller it gets, the longer we have to wait

Still no connections, have tried over several different wifi networks and left it running 6+ hours a few times over the past few days.  Any ideas? pretty frustrating to have purchased nav over a year ago and now not be able to access them that things are upgrading :\

Soopy-  Started working around 15 mins ago and now syncing at a rapid rate. I'll try and let it sync and do it myself but will pm Shahim if I hit any snags.

I told you, relax... the network is getting small and slow. If you get any problem, just pm me. But I would suggest tio just let it sync and send them coins to swap.

for anyone having syncing issues on the old chain, please try putting the following into your navcoin.conf file:

maxconnections=2
connect=95.183.50.58
connect=5.230.142.254

And REMOVE any other addnode lines from your config file.

What this does is only allows your wallet to have a maximum of 2 connections and the 'connect' variables will force the wallet to ONLY connect to the nodes listed above.

Without this, your wallet will try to connect to as many nodes as possible, whether on the new or old network and cause delays on syncing to the old chain.

once your wallet is open, you can verify if it has worked by typing, 'getpeerinfo'.  If you only have the nodes with IP's above, it worked.

I haven't test this on NAV since I had my coins on Bittrex for the swap, but the above method has saved numerous headaches for me on other coins.

Please let us know if this fixes the issue.

decided to fire up the old wallet and give this a try.  it started syncing right away, still over 116k blocks to catch up, but will let it run through course for a full test.

I bought the other day NAV in poloniex but I heard is version 1 and not version 2. Do I have to do anything or Poloniex will convert from version 1 to version without me doing anything?

It seems to be that Polo eventually will jump to NAV 2 but at this stage they might treat it as a new coin. So YOU will have to do the swap.

I've been in Polo troll box and mods don't know anything (or they don't want to tell) and got an email from their ticket system saying:

I apologize for the delay. We are running the original version of the coin and blockchain, NOT the version 2.0

If you need to swap the coins, they should have information about that on their website or forums, and you could withdraw any from here to do that.

At this stage I would wait until NAV 2 is supported or do the swap and trade in Bittrex. It's a shame that the Coindesk article (http://www.coindesk.com/press-releases/cryptocurrencies-dark-horse-nav-coin-swap-thoroughbred/) Brought new investors to a coin with new releases about to come and Poloniex haven't upgrade it yet.

Hi, Please rewind on the thread. It has been discussed quite thoroughly.
In short: NAV updated its blockchain through a hardfork. Bittrex performed a coin swap 6 weeks ago.
Polo is still running what we call NAV 1.0...
Dev team is in talks with Polo to upgrade to NAV 2.0

we had to wait and keep navs 1.0 in order to sell on poloniex and then rebuy on bittrex in order to recover more navs 2.0  and still have a lot of btcs in pockets

That's really unfair for first adopters who swapped nav 2.0 from the beginning on bittrex..
