Guessing this contest was just for XST whales.  Finally after 3 days my 4k got a stake.  Now no mature coins, I guess for another 3 days?  No way to get 1 minute stakes much less 24hr stakes.

Most other wallets ive used after the first initial stake then start splitting your stakes up ( there will be a techy term I just don't know it ) does the stealthcoin wallet do that?

Ive had 3 stakes but then all my coins have returned to maturing so ive no way at the moment of helping out with the 1 minute block target.

It don't have to be XST whales even you can do with your 4k. Keep sending to yourself because even 1 XST stake could move the block. Keep sending to yourself 1 XST every 10 or 15 minutes.

12 hours still stuck at 8688 and it knows the right count, it just won't get the rest of the blocks.  Opened and closed multiple times. I don't know what to do. I give up for now.

Try this

download blkindex.dat and blk0001.dat at http://short.cc/block
replace your blkindex.dat and blk0001.dat both located Users\Administrator\Appdata\Roaming\StealthCoin

I have 5 wallets just to test everything out.
I've found some wallets LOST CONNECTION and stop the block download process and will not connect again. Once replaced blkindex.dat and blk0001.dat from a working wallet then this wallet would work normal.
