I'm pretty sure the dev said it will close on that minute then changed his mind after he saw all the money that was coming.
Also no way of knowing of the dev is not buying into the ico with money that was invested by others unless my question about the holding address has been addressed.

I know it depends on demand but just curious. |

It's funny how some people can't work out that everyone is paying the same price no matter when they bought in. Everyone pays the same price and gets the same percentage of the 10,000,000 equivalent to the ratio of their investment to the total BTC invested.

someone made this comment to me when I told them I was going to mine his coin: it really does not look like it's worthwhile for me to expend a single has mining this coin after reading this: ViaCoin, my initial impression on it is that the math on their presale amount compared to the per block mining rewards does not favor miners.
Block 1 = 10,000,000 VIA (to be distributed by presale)
Blocks 2-2001 = 0 VIA
Blocks 2002-12801 = 10 VIA
That means miners won't have any coins at all until after block 2002. And by block 12801, which is 3.5 days into the coin, miners will have mined 100 times less than the presale amount.
therefore in my opinion miners don't stand a chance of making any money at all. |
