There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

The massive BTC investments are probably the dev...by simply taking his own BTC and sending it to HIS OWN "presale" BTC addresses - VOILA - he now owns 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, of the overall presale viacoins by simply exchanging BTC between 2 OF HIS OWN ADDRESSES.

This presale format MASQUERADES as "fair and open", but it's the dev (and his cronies?) who are in a position to really game the system and do some illegal/unethical things.

The more I think about it, the more pissed I get - this is NOTHING MORE THAN A PREMINE with a different name/scheme...btcdrak could have easily boughten more than 50% of the presale viacoins with ZERO RISK whatsoever!

Also, in the entire next 12 months, there will only be about 6.5M viacoins mined anyways, so if the dev "bought" (i.e. sent BTC from his left hand to his right hand) 50% of the presale viacoins, he essentially "premined" 30% of viacoin on a 1 year time frame!

no wonder why btcdrak acted so rude and guilty in the IRC chats - he's probably too busy sending BTC to his presale and felt guilty about it!

do you all see my point!?

That wasn't the dev.  He just made over 600 BTC in ICO funds. He's a pretty trusted guy in crypto trading circles, I just don't see him doing this kind of stuff. If you weren't expecting massive buys at the last possible minute you must be new here.  Those huge buys were probably cryptocobain  Grin.

So before releasing any Viacoins to presale participants I want to make it clear that

everyone bought at the same rate, which was 0.00006102 VIA/BTC.

The only thing that varies is the amount of VIA you will receive according to how much BTC you paid.

The final table has been UPDATED and posted here: http://presale.viacoin.org/list.html

Payments received AFTER 14:45 today are not included and you must file a refund request immediately. Effectively if you made a payment that was not included in BTC Block #311014 or earlier, then the payment does not qualify.

Is this fair?  Huh
Dev, why not be limited to a maximum purchase?
Is it because you (the developer) so glare and greedy to exploit and benefit from BTC as much as possible?

dev, thanks for the update.

also when mining start, you maybe need to change the ANN title, so people can aware this and start mining,

also we should have a more attractive ANN title?

thanks Smiley

@btcdrak,

I installed the wallet on linux and you may want to add a note in the linux installation process for people who have Ubuntu under 13.10.
I managed to install Vialectrum following kermit42's thread at GitHub (there : https://github.com/spesmilo/electrum/issues/547). The problem I had was that "slowaes" couldn't be installed on my distro because it was too old. Same problem was encountered with Electrum but as the wallet was based from it, I figured his solution would work. And it did.

Quote from the thread :
Quote
Install new software in Linux/Ubuntu
Note this replaces the non-working instructions on the Electrum website to type “sudo apt-get install python-qt4 python-pip” & “sudo apt-get install python-slowaes”
Code:
a. Hit Control-Alt-T to enter the terminal window then enter
i. cd ~
ii. wget –P Downloads/ http://python-distribute.org/distribute_setup.py
iii. sudo python Downloads/distribute_setup.py
iv. sudo easy_install pip
v. sudo easy_install slowaes

Those commands will do the deed if somebody encounters the issue.

Hope it'll help.

you can never stop people invest with multi account to invest big number.

it's simple.

big investment —> big risk —>big profit or big loss
small investment—>small risk —> small profit or small loss.

it's fair.
but life is not fair. Smiley
