Welcome to the new crypto reality.  Those 4 scams on bittrex cleaned out a lot of traders.  Traders drive the prices.  And those traders who were not taken are keeping their money in their pockets.  This shortage of investors will be a problem until confidence is restored.  This coin 2 months ago would be selling for 50 to 100k on day one.  Now people are taking a wait and see stance and investing very little money into any coins that are new.

Has giving away coins through methods other than mining become unviable?

Bittzy and cryptosandwich did a lot to help build Bittrex.  We were given a referral code that had over 100s of signups for a program that was never launched.  Hopefully, we can call in a favor....

because regardless of what happened with the scams this is not one of them
and there is only 500K available at the end of POW so literally nothing to go round

if only 100 investors want in they can only get hold of 5000 each thats nothing

compared to these stupid sums other coins get traded with 100k min to make any profit

trading i'm not selling mine no way i know a good thing when i see one

Yup, we all know that getting people to have confidence in a coin takes a lot of time and effort by the dev team.

 We aren't going anywhere and welcome the opportunity to gain your confidence.

I would never encourage anyone to buy or sell coins based on my or anyone else's  investment advice.  We are going to do our best to add value to Abundance over time but these buy/sell decisions have to be your own.
