Hi all, is CAPTcoin in any way superior to Bitcoin considering that there will be no mining required? One big discussion on bitcoin has been on the consumption of electricity to keep it running which is a big wastage.

Many people think a POS coins is superior to Bitcoin, they all save electricity.... CAPT is a POS coin.... there are MANY POS coins...

The next question is a question of distribution of coins...

Some POS were simply given away, some were IPO's, one ( CLAM ) was even distributed BEFORE it was released..

Many of them are plagued with problems.... smart people could write bots to get more than a fair share, others made promises for coins and broke them. IPO: coins many just ran off with the money and stopped development...

THIS coin's distribution is unique... solving captchas requites a HUMAN and some time on your part... it allows for a fair distribution, yet also rewards individuals who spend some extra time with more coin...

So I think yes it is superior to Bitcoin. And indeed it has an equitable distribution system...

Everything depends on services and such introduced ( I think ) during the waning distribution era and after...

Right now GET YOUR COINS.... there initially will not be many of them... There are 20,000,000 total coins premined but I seriously doubt we will see them all given away.... but it could happen... we may have an excelerated adoption as the reward starts to drop...

Would be interesting to see graphs and such for this...

I understand price is an important point but please consider also that this coin needs developpement before anything

games, merchants, apps... anything that will help make this coin unforgetable !!!

CAPT is riding a great wave thanks to its dev, community and concept. I really love the (hard)work it needs to get some !

So please, don't let it become another P&D coin

Some will pump and dump... thats the nature of trading... but here is what you do:

1) Hold your own coins ( trade a little just to keep some activity going )

2) Hold some BTC ( yes Bitcoin ) back and POUNCE on those dumpers.... grab up those cheap coins... they won't be able to dump much as there won't be much to dump....

I totally agree.

In many aspects, especially in distribution and power consumption, CAPTcoin is superior than other crypto-currencies, including Bitcoin.

I'm pretty sure it has a bright future. We must work together for that. That's not a one-man work.

Everyone should wait for the CAPTcoin to reach 0.005BTC. And at that price it should sell in small amount too. selling 1000@0.00005 BTC will be equal to selling just 1@0.005BTC.

My simple strategy will be to hold for long term as the coin got potential and sell of maximum of 10% of my holding. everyone should do the same.

So we earn 0.5-1  Dollar/hour.  ... (I need 8 / hour, in order not to have to live on the street.)
Perhaps it would be better if u can give us some work to do, not these cruel chaptas. Some usefull task. Something what makes sense.
all people solve the chaptas for faucets, are people who looking for work.

But when the price rises after the halving, you will be making more than that. At 5000 satoshi, it is 3 cents per Captcoin which (if you can only do 100) is 3$ per hour.

If you would offer real work instead of chaptas / Faucets, that would be innovative.
The price of captcoin would be a trade of wage levels. Freely negotiated. A coin whose price is determined by demand and supply of labor. Work can be many things. We know it from the scam sites. Find Click Search. The moment where the price is negotiable, that would be innovative.

You could retain the old concept and just add: 1 Captcoin = 1 minute (work or just attention)
