What's a good hash rate for a r9 280x?

I get around 6.6 MH/s right now, not sure if this is good or not.
What version of sgminer are you using? I'm getting 12mh on my r9 280x with this config:

./sgminer -k nist5 -o stratum+tcp://190.143.38.247:4087 -u johntheminer.3  -p x -I 19 -g 2 -w 256 --lookup-gap 2 --thread-concurrency 8192 --gpu-memclock 1500 --gpu-engine 1080 --gpu-fan 70 --temp-overheat 90

But I'm using the one with the x11mod kernel, that's waaay faster than the other versions out there.

I'm using the SGminer from here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=658411.0, is that the correct one?

Adding the GPU memclock and GPU engine makes my miner crash instantly. The other settings helped it go up to 8MH/s though Smiley

12.57 MH/s on each 280x

What settings are you using?

sgminer.exe --algorithm talkcoin-mod -o stratum+tcp://n5x.suprnova.cc:3777 -u user -p x --xintensity 256 -w 128 --lookup-gap 2 --gpu-threads 2 --thread-concurrency 8192 --auto-fan --auto-gpu --gpu-engine 1080 --gpu-memclock 775 --gpu-powertune 20 --gpu-fan 30-100 --temp-target 72 --temp-overheat 85 --temp-cutoff 95 --expiry 1 --scan-time 1 --queue 1 --no-submit-stale -s 1 --api-listen --api-allow W:192.168/24 --api-port 4028 --api-description n5

setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
sgminer.exe -k nist5 -o stratum+tcp://n5x.suprnova.cc:3777 -u tinky2166.2 -p x -w 128 -I 19 -g 2 --expiry 10 --scan-time 1 --queue 0 --api-listen --api-allow 127.0.0.2

i setting all rigs
270X 8.7M
7970(280X) 12M
7950 10.7M

Thank you!  You just doubled my speed on my 7950s.

Ugh, so many new algos make my head hurt.  I spent forever tweaking my rigs for just the right settings on scrypt and scrypt-jane.  Now there is a new hot algo every other week and it's like picking settings at random because I've got no clue where to start, or the desire to think about it very hard.

Well that's 1/2 a step up from the other exchange it was on.  I guess it will be a good place to try to grab it cheap for when bittrex adds it later.

Just remember there are only 1 million coins circulating... prices imo are bit cheap.

I think the PoS starts earlier and it is only 800k coin.  So it is kinda rare I guess.  If the dev is truly going to do something like build the coin up they could have some trade value.

Poloniex is pretty good IMO, never had any problems with them and there's always some volume. Also a great place to quickly check up on altcoin trends as they're often one of the first to add new coins.

Purely speaking in terms of mining effort and maximum amount of coins, they're pretty cheap right now. But that's not really what determines the price of course.

What kind of hashrate are you guys getting for r9 290x's. I am getting 8.8mh/s per card. which seems low compared to what you are getting with 280x's.

Anyone with some good settings for 290x's?
