Hi,

I have released a version of sgminer which allows to mine X11 and X13 coins using 14.6 amd drivers.

As it has been noticed some times ago, with 14.6 drivers almost double the hashrate of groestl algorithm and substantially increases the hashrate of any algo using groestl such as X11, X13, Nist5 (talkcoin).

However with 14.6 drivers some algos (in particular X11 and X13) stopped working completely.
This release fix the problem. This release is based on lasybear sgminer release.

You can find the source at:  https://github.com/djm34/sph-sgminer_x11mod
windows binaries at:  https://mega.co.nz/#!0d9xjagT!H-K3q-XcyHIGEPcPQOKPcW7sdvh8cAaAmHqNRP09zBg

This version supports these kernels (and some others... but need to be checked though)

* X11mod  (-k x11mod)
* X13mod   (-k x13mod)
* Nist5      (-k nist5)   (talkcoin)
* Quark coins (-k quarkcoin)
* Animecoin (-k animecoin )

I didn't modify the original marucoin and darkcoin kernel are they are slower and some improvement on the quark/anime kernel should be expected soon)

In terms of speed, it was tested so far only on my R9 290x:
With X11mod, I get 5.4MHash/s
With X13mod, I get 3.75MHash/s  (which is not terrible compared to nvidia cards)
With Nist5, I get 15.8MHash/s (more details can be found on talkcoin thread)

Great work man  Wink Even though I am not fan of x11 or x13 it's still great to see improvements made to AMD miners  Wink

A R9 280x gets the following numbers:

x11 - 4.05Mhash @ 1080Mhz
x13 - 2.9Mhash  @ 1080Mhz

Energy consumption seems to be the same as before: ~90W per card @ 1020Mhz/ 0.9Mv.

I can confirm they're working (compiled on a modified version of linux), I'm getting 3.8mh for each 280x. It rose from 2.1mh...
Amazing work man!

Amazing work man!

Absolutely big hash rate increase. I just need to figure out the work stop/start thing and should be good to go. If I do figure it out, will post it.

Could you post settings for 280x/290 or 290x? Trying my settings that worked well on the original mod miner, not working well on this one.

is this suppose to have any increase in mining speed also?

r9 270 still getting ~1600kh on x13
                         ~2070kh on x11
same as with previous sgminers

@djm34

Thank you a lot for this great sgminer  Smiley

I fixed the idle/work resuming problem.

This is the download link for the fixed miner: https://mega.co.nz/#!ZsJTALQI!qDh9jCWULjabTDPYq0K4fZamdZrPwot7m7AAfTEOJPQ

I also opened a new thread (just in case) some will not notice this comment and the fixed version of the miner: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=658975.msg7412560#msg7412560

you are welcome Smiley

I did nothing more than adding the latest AMD_APP_SDK 2.9, used the exact github source djm34 mentioned in his first post, recompiled the miner and made sure it supports AMD OpenCL.
