This sucks, and I feel bad for the OP, but since so many people say that BTC is not truly anonymous, with this much money at stake, with such a large bounty, I suspect we'll be learning soon whether or not using BTC can be truly anonymous.

However, the stolen BTC from silk road is still sitting in that bitcoin account. It hasnt been moved yet, so they're(the hackers) are probably waiting until everyone forgets about the major hacking etc, and then theyll try and cash out the btc slowly under the radar. However that probably wont work either, since they can still be caught easily by any exchange they try cashing the BTC out to.

I dont know what the hell they plan to do, maybe trade the BTC to north korea in exchange for yuan? I dont fucking know..

@Wulfcastle, but why would the thief amass all of the stolen btc in the same address? It would be that much easier to connect him to other events and hoard some more evidence. Maybe the address belongs to a mixing service?

The hacker is the same guy who stole the funds from Silk Road. The address he sent some BTC too is the same address that over 5,000 BTC stolen from the Silk Road hack was sent to. He could be either

1) The guy who stole the original Silk Road's funds and the proposed Silk Road 2's Funds

2) One of the owners of SK who stole their own users funds and make it seem as if a hacker took them

Could be someone relatively "close" to Klee, an owner of Silk Road 2(defcoin for example), or the hacker who stole from Silk Road

the 5K BTC may be unrelated to this hacker.  He just donated some of my tag BTC and a small bit of the stolen BTC to that address, maybe to try to throw us off.  It is only interesting that he donated my tag BTC there.

Like the others assume internal steal second ask for an IP trace from dropbox if they have logs and third offline that computer as vital evidence might be on it.

Possibly check with the Bitcoin Gambling Sites and see if an address matches lol.

I can't do much myself but posted in the ARG puzzle thread since somehow people were able to solve it perhaps they can help with the mystery good luck.

He probably wanted to left a message in bitcoin transaction and sent those coins on hackers address but, that hacker donated that input to some other address. I think He's using latest bitcoin client or armory with coin control.
