These past few months have been extremely difficult for me due to how much work I’ve put into APEX just to have a few bad names use the coin to their own advantage. I’ve struggled personally with furthering development and I want to make sure APEX investors will see a coin and a product that grows in value. Since I have reached several personal and financial problems, I feel it is time to hand over APEX to a new developer, I’m sure he will take APEX to new heights. I know he will do his best and the progress of APEX will continue under his lead. He is talented, eager, and ready to make things happen.

APEX will continue to be a leading coin for BlockNET and multiple devs from other coins in the network will be supplying their knowledge and technology into our APortal - which is still heavy in development. The roadmap will be updated under his new lead.

To start, we would like to announce a partnership with CryptoArticles.com - They will be added directly into the next wallet update so APEX users can have more options. This will help to promote the coin as well as giving them more daily readers.

There will be more announcements soon as well as a new wallet update. Keep your eyes on the forum for more progress and thank you for your patience.

As much as I prefer to not change developers, I'd like to see what the new dev will bring to the table.  Care to elaborate on what this heavy APortal development is about?

I spoke to a contact in China - he said he heard some news that Apexcoin is going to be used by Chinese for buying Luxury goods? They said its to do with the 6million coins out there - plus the low price right now - perfect opportunity to brand it as the super rich brand crypto coin... anyone know about this? @pexking

Please be advised that updating your wallet right now is critical, there's a fork.  We're not sure if it's an attack, or whether too many members are still on the old wallet.  Luckily, we set up the checkpointing servers so Bittrex and the Block Explorer are on the correct chain.  If you are on the incorrect chain, don't panic, simply back up your wallet.dat file and redownload the blockchain.  If you want to know if you are on the incorrect chain, just check the Block Explorer and see if the numbers match up.

For faster sync you can delete old data and keep the wallet.dat as instructed and unzip this bootstrap.dat to datadir and start the wallet again: https://github.com/apexdev/apexcoin/releases/download/v2.3.3/bootstrap_apex_466625.zip

And remember the new wallet is mandatory as stated before: https://github.com/apexdev/apexcoin/releases

I am excited to announce my entry into the world of Apexcoin as the lead Developer, I am flattered to have been considered to head Apexcoin and am looking forward to picking up where the previous Dev team left off.

Since the takeover was announced I have been playing around with a few ideas for a logo and website revamp (Not a redesign just a revamp) I will keep the structure of the Apex logo as it is in order to maintain the branding that the public are familiar with, however, I envision that the revamped logo will bring with it a new beginning for Apex and it's community, a rebirth if you will. Over the next couple of days, in addition to the logo update I will be rolling out the website and BitcoinTalk thread update.  All future posts will be made through the official Apex profile outlining future development from this moment onwards.

I look forward to working with the Apex community and am excited about the prospects this takeover brings.

As I'm sure you are all aware, as the second Developer heading Apex I will not have a premine to supplement future development cost, therefore I would be most grateful for any donations paid towards the Apex development fund.

I will be holding most of it for safe keeping since it's worth about 0.2BTC at the moment,
a portion of the premine will go to the Apex faucet and the games in order to keep them online and playable.

I will allocate a percentage towards bounties for marketing and other promotional activities in the pipeline.
