Please try serious exchanges like bittrex and allcoin. It was easy for our coin to get listed there, must be easy for CDT too.

Bittrex - no, but allcoin yes, I've tried. I don't like bittrex because of adding shitcoins who only pay them.
I have a message that allcrypt will add us after their holidays.

We did not pay for it and have the most exchange volumes there. However, it's up to you Smiley

Hmmm, the information, that they add a coin for 2 BTC is a gossip?

They were small exchange when we were listed, who knows now, I did not check last time, just trading there like crazy, yesterday was a good day for trading. However, you will make it, step by step and by keeping contact with those exchanges that are willing to receive good coins. Allcoin.com was a nice experience too for us but we do not trade there much volumes but on bittrex where the interest for the coin is higher.
Success!

Yes, Teodor is right. Bittrex now leads among exchanges in trading volumes. True, getting there is not easy now. I also heard that it cost from 1 to 3 BTC.

But Allcoin also not a very bad option.

Any Mac OS users here?
Detkcoin-Qt.app is crashing at launch  Cry I'm running 10.7.5.

1- Make sure that Detkcoin-Qt.app is in /Application folder
2- Open the Terminal in /Applications/Utilities
3- type this in the terminal /Applications/Detkcoin-Qt.app/Contents/MacOS/Detkcoin-Qt
4- paste the error message

1- the path is correct
4 - Illegal instruction: 4

Have you added detkcoin.conf file with the nodes (as is it shown in the 1st post in this thread)?
Yes, the file is in the same directory as Detkcoin-Qt.app, /Applications

Yes, the file is in the same directory as Detkcoin-Qt.app, /Applications

AIUI, the config file's location on OS X should be:

~/Library/Application Support/Detkcoin/detkcoin.conf

i.e. the user's Library.

But a missing config file isn't likely to cause an illegal instruction error, that sounds more like an incompatible binary.

Ngaio's MacBook (10.6) is compiling as I write this. If successful, we'll make a zip file available.

Cheers

There is no Detkcoin directory in both of these locations:
~/Library/Application Support/Detkcoin/detkcoin.conf
/Users/your_account_username/Library/

Should I manually create them?

Just for clarity, ~ is a short cut to /Users/your_account_username, you'll also encounter $HOME, same thing [1].

~/Library  == /Users/your_account_username/Library

We saw the same error on our OS X 10.6 MacBook.

Here's a freshly-compiled OS X wallet, works on 10.6, should work for you on 10.7 - http://minkiz.co/noodlings/cdt/Detkoin-Qt-OSX.zip (referenced on http://minkiz.co/noodle)

Don't worry about creating directories. Fire up the app, it will create the directory: ~/Library/Application Support/Detkcoin. As soon as the wallet appears, that's it for this stage, you can shut it down.

Now fire up a text editor, paste the contents of the detkcoin.conf as listed in the OP and save that as ~/Library/Application Support/Detkcoin/detkcoin.conf and then restart the wallet, should start syncing, doesn't take long to get up date, just a few minutes.

To try mining, select Menubar->Help->debug window

debug window shows two tabs: tab1 is info,  tab2 is rpc terminal. In the commandline window at the bottom of tab2 enter setgenerate true -1 for all-in, chuck everything at the hashing. Or use positive integers to limit processing to use that number of threads/cores, e.g. setgenerate true 2.

Stop mining with setgenerate false.

HTH.

Graham

[1] there’s no place like $HOME Smiley

Edit: corrected config filename, added stop mining info

Just because you are on bittrex doesn't mean people will buy the coin. This coin sucks as of right now. It is going to be another year before this coin sees any success if it ever sees any.

Of course - nothing guarantees that anybody buys anything. That's why I was surprised (each time more and more) when people were buying coins with no infrastructure, no idea, but bugs instead.

You should wait with your judgement until the trees investment website will be ready. We'll start its beta-testing after weekend.

Let's be serious... a Polish website even with millions of visitors daily, but with funny photos, is not a good basis for a serious coin. It's nice that our service is noticed there and people will see it, but we are thinking from the beginning about more "serious" goods/services. Trees, amber&silver and remote rendering - those directions are prioritaire (at least for me). Because they'll generate good prize and bigger exchanges.

I agree with you. Without services, the coin doesn't make sense. So we take your announcement for granted and wait a few days/weeks Smiley

Now it's a second period when the diff is lower. But in comparison with the first fall-down, it's higher, I see. I think it's reasonable to mine/buy it now, and take a risk, because the member of our team is finishing the alpha-version of tree trading platform.
