Well if your claims to be such a brilliant math guru and developer, why not debunk them, by creating a better solution. In that way, you just take away their clients in a natural way, without having to worry about "crashing" the bitcoin protocol. You seem talented enough to do this, so pick up the pieces and build something better. There are massive oportunities for talented developers. Troll or not, there are valueble lessons to be learn from his/her experience. Keep your developments secret until you have brought it to market.
I have also been excited about a new idea, and mouthed off in forums, and next thing, someone with enough time implemented it, and profit from it. You have no claim, if it's not patented or if your origional code was used, without your concent, that is, if you can proof, that it was your code.
Learn something from this, I sure did.

History has been cruel to communities who have given up the useful function that money plays in society. Why don't RBE advocates start with a small community test example before demanding everyone else adopt their ideas? They already have enough advocates to pool together resources for this test project. |

For all we know, Satoshi kept them all in a paper wallet that burned in a fire. It seems the addresses we can somewhat reliably tie to him are never spent. I hope that's not the case, but in some respects that would almost be hilarious. -=- One thing I've sometimes wondered is if he made a puzzle, brain wallet with clues, the one who figures the clues out gets a rather big payday. |

That is a terrible lesson. I mouthed off a video streaming/compression idea on some forums. Nobody "stole" my idea and implemented it yet. I probably have to implement it myself to prove it works. Again, software is not generally patentable: at least in relatively sane jurisdictions. |
