ShadowSend: More Information Hey guys We are pleased to inform you that our implementation of ShadowSend (which uses dual-key stealth addresses) is a technological advance over current stealth address solutions such as those implemented in SX & DarkWallet. To prove it, ShadowSend will be made open source upon release, and we have already sent the code to Peter Todd (the original visionary of stealth addresses), as we believe our version best fits his original vision. ShadowSend Release Date: Thursday 8/7/14Here's a demo video of ShadowSend: http://youtu.be/w-B1HuxNvFgHere's my stealth address: smYhJ1oRg29nzCutHMXTaCNMm9NEVFh2y5i2QCzr4rNnjX9UdK5R7mT1c3P5S91du6hrjiY6WoA2yij mimYiNP73o49K6caLvwS3jj The reason the address above is so long, is because it is a dual-key stealth address. For more information on dual-key stealth addresses, see: https://wiki.unsystem.net/en/index.php/DarkWallet/Stealth#Dual-key_stealthTo understand stealth addresses better, please have a look at the following illustration:
We'd like to give a special thanks to Peter Todd, for his white paper on stealth addresses: http://sourceforge.net/p/bitcoin/mailman/message/31813471/As well as DarkWallet for all the information on stealth addresses at: https://wiki.unsystem.net/en/index.php/DarkWallet/StealthSimply amazing.

Bob and Alice sure are popular names regards to "buyer and seller / sender and receiver" today I know, right? For once, I would like to see an example using the names "Bartholamew" and "Gertrude"... As for the Dev...awesome and mad respect for giving credit where credit was due.

I don't know what I hate more. People quoting trolls over and over or long ass posts over and over. In both cases at least delete most of the quoted post.

So. Prominent use of Peter Todd's name to hype the coin. Did anyone check with him first?
For a coin that is supposed to be about anon, maybe respecting that sort of thing might be an idea?

Peter Todd is mentioned on the stealth address wiki http://sx.dyne.org/stealth.html. I'm not sure where you are trying to go with that statement. I don't think the coin needs hype the technology and hard work the devs are putting in is speaking for it.

Why would you worry about a name, do you see what they have delivered so far?

Maybe the coin does not need the hype. Apparently the devs feel differently. And my original point remains. Very bad form to use such a high profile name without consent.

It's called giving credit, moron. If sdcoin did not use his name then they would be stealing.

Why would you worry about a name, do you see what they have delivered so far? Personally it means nothing to me what they have delivered or not. And that is completely beside the point. The point is they are using Peter Todd's name repeatedly to give an air of legitmacy. If the tech is good, why can it not stand on its own merits, without name dropping a dev who has nothing to do with the coin? And who in fact works for another coin?

But what is wrong with getting one of the best known man in the Dark Scene to ask him for reviewing a promising new coin based on his books? I understand your concerns and I am with you. They have to deliver now but the Video looks interesting not more not less.
