The way I see it free market dynamics will do their job. The token price has been oscillating around $0.50 for the last few days and it will predictably continue this way until the crowdsale has ended. If you want to buy into this sale and you are able to snap some SJCX at $0.46 then you will make a good deal.

This is the question I was about to ask as early investor we should have some advantage. It would be nice to know what is more profitable way to become new token holder. I will keep checking back later to see if the is answered today. Since it will be 1:1 price should be similar but current token can increase or decrease in value. How will be balanced this fraction? There will only be one token. The old one will be swapped 1:1 for the new tokens. Once the swap ends all remaining SJCX tokens will be useless. So its not 1:1 price. Its a 1:1 swap along with the sale of the new tokens.

free market will do its thing....but we don't know what the price of new token ico is until funds start flowing in price should be quite volatile

If you are already holding SJCX all you need is wait for the swap so you can get the new token (SJCX), but if you want to buy more either on exchanges or during the sale it's up to you and the market will make the price after the sale. It is fluctuating a bit at the moment a bit lower than the ICO price set at $ 0.50. What the team is saying is that they have reserved about $15 million for the pre-sale and there will be another $15 million worth of STORJ for the retail sale. If interested to buy in the ICO or pre-sale register on the website and specify how much you'd like to buy. https://storj.io/tokensalePricing Mechanism $0.50 per token for retail Pre-sale discounts between $50k - $100k: 10% (3 month lockup) Pre-sale discounts >$100k: 20% (6 month lockup)

Try a token sell over $30MM but no money to send a fast transaction to thier own storage-renter? They are still using Counterparty right now which uses the Bitcoin blockchain, 15% of the cost of payouts is actually in Bitcoin fees. And is this a problem for STORJ? Processing a fast payment is the part of STORJ, the renter have delivered their part. What is next month, same issue, what is if the renter cancel their storage space?

Using Counterparty right now increases the fees required for payouts and they are slower to receive by farmers, because of Bitcoin transaction backlog. I think next month it will still be Counterparty, after the token sale, that's when the migration to Ethereum will complete so we should see payouts been done with the new coin. Using Ethereum should be faster and cheaper.

I have the impression that most of the new tokens have been sold, as the market price of the coin is well over the crowdsale price. Of course this is just pure speculation...

You need glasses, as the market price is 5% over the crowdsale price.

There's and arbitrage opportunity here, tokens being sold at 50 cents, market price at 63 cents, expect price to drop after token distribution and hit exchanges.

Good news, that Storjcoin moves to Ethereum. Btw, If I have a hard disk of 2TB, how much Storjcoin can I get per day?

Actually, the rate will be calculated after the sale is over... but the fact that there is misinformation coming from Storj is not new... Good news, that Storjcoin moves to Ethereum. Btw, If I have a hard disk of 2TB, how much Storjcoin can I get per day?
Probably less than 0.2 coins..

Probably less than 0.2 coins.. I remember reading somewhere it was average price on the last two weeks or so, but just checked sales page and it says 50 cents per token. But average is better.

No. CEO didn't leave. Renters were sent payment, but bitcoin transactions are backed up. And the channels are ready only and locked because of scam bots that people are using to flood the channels with false payment addresses during the token sale.
