I don't know if it is Coinmarketcap or Bittrex but i don't think the data is reading properly.

There is loads of >?  where the chang/24hr is.

It is Bittrex, as 0.4btc was traded there in the first day we got the market open and no signs of it @coinmarketcap.

CoinMarketcap doesn't recognize the pair yet (see http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/faircoin/#markets). So only the volume from Alcurex is taken into account.
I've request through both the request form and Twitter if they can add the pair.

Anyhow, it's good to see some volume again. And actually people offering some coins (there's about 122K FAIR in the market now). Both people who want in or out have a chance now to take action.

Oh and last but not least, FAIR is available again on my favorite tool; Cryptrader Smiley

Yeah it is showing now, but no data from bittrex.

And also all those coins are just pump and dump and done, same as Blackcoin that is gone now.
There are no real projects out there apart from Faircoin.

In the world of altcoins they just looking for investors to pump and dump, there is no altcoins to believe out there apart from this real project that Faircoin is, which i believe it transmits the essence of what cryptocurrencies should be all about, TO FREE OUR SELVES FROM THE OPPRESSION OF THE BANK SYSTEM.

Hello groggin
the transaction has been done, to the adress that you filled ->  fXsqiFsN5LYXHViTYbtwKcQ6uFE5UDKrkq

here in the transaction appears that you dont have yet redeemet it ->
https://chain.fair-coin.org/tx/0378268114d19e95195b9d4a9a6d3e9ef28ba0a5fc52731796c05674aa22b664#o10

have you sync the appropiate wallet?

 lol, it appears that i didn't. i didn't know i had more than one, but i will find them. thanks and sorry for the extra trouble

  hello fellows, heartfelt congratulations on the successful recovery campaign, and getting the coin listed again.

  i seem to have lost the keys to my recovery address. apparently, this is the case: the wallet seems to be corrupted, the qt will start and run, and shows the correct balance, but when i go to the recieve tab, there is only one unlabeled address! (i think i had 3 or 4, all labeled) i ran -checkwallet and -repairwallet, no results, but when i ran -salvagewallet i get this error msg: Cannot initialize keypool then the client just quits.

also i managed to dig up atleast a half a dozen backups, but they are all too old (so i have the orig and a copy)

any help guys?

Unless you have an encrypted working backup of your wallet, this might become difficult..
There's was a old bug that looks like your problem in the bitcoin wallet: https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/issues/2480, fix https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/pull/2566

Looking at the FairCoin wallet, it doesn't seem that this has been patched yet. For example:

FairCoin
Code:
    if (fFirstRun)
    {
        // Create new keyUser and set as default key
        RandAddSeedPerfmon();

        CPubKey newDefaultKey;
        if (!pwalletMain->GetKeyFromPool(newDefaultKey, false))
            strErrors << _("Cannot initialize keypool") << "\n";
        pwalletMain->SetDefaultKey(newDefaultKey);
        if (!pwalletMain->SetAddressBookName(pwalletMain->vchDefaultKey.GetID(), ""))
            strErrors << _("Cannot write default address") << "\n";
    }

BitCoin
Code:
   if (fFirstRun)
    {
        // Create new keyUser and set as default key
        RandAddSeedPerfmon();

        CPubKey newDefaultKey;
        if (pwalletMain->GetKeyFromPool(newDefaultKey, false)) {
            pwalletMain->SetDefaultKey(newDefaultKey);
            if (!pwalletMain->SetAddressBookName(pwalletMain->vchDefaultKey.GetID(), ""))
                strErrors << _("Cannot write default address") << "\n";
        }
    }

@Thomas, you're more into the codebase then I am, can you have a look?

Maybe I should make it my personal quest to make the thing buildable in Docker, then everyone can build it w/o any OS dependencies Smiley

hi Thom. @ me i'm a win-lin multibooter user for a long time (12 years now omg) but i've never done a compile, also i can't find a 64 bit distro that my new mobo will like, so i'm kinda stuck in win7 atm. i do have a 32 bit (ubuntu) >(white os) installed  if i need to do something. i will be happy to give a xx% bounty for someone's help and a successful recovery  Smiley

Can anybody tell me how minting works?
I had 73498 FAIR total in my wallet (recovered from Mintpal v1) divided by 2 transactions (50 000 + 23 498).
After 24 days (why 24?) the 50k part of my balance became "transaction is mature".
Today they minted 88 FAIR (why 88?) and 206 FAIR (why 206?) in a few hours. After that there appeared two new transactions for every old transaction in the minting view. Old ones were divided by 2 and there are now 4 transactions (25103, 25103, 11793, 11793).
And they are all zero age!
I have to wait for 24 days again to mint something else?

 i'll try  Wink
if i understand it right -
coin-age is the fuel that makes the mining engine run. the more coin-age you have,= the more stakeweight you have, which is balanced against netstakeweight to drive the engine. so you have so many blocks with so much weight that compete with so much netstakeweight to generate so many coins

Hello all,

After more than 75 days without an exchange with volume enough, and remembering that the price before mintpal closing was
around 1500 satohis, its logical that some random users with faircoins holdings and without real interest in whar are we doing, are creating some sell pressure between 1600 and 2500 satoshis.

Otherwise, the order book in bittrex is yet very tiny and its normal that the people willing to sell are going faster than the people willing to buy..
the big variations or prices at short term that is not so good and some times difficult to understand for people that are newbie to this kind of markets..

Therefore here are some proposals and suggestions for the people that wants to be involved at the level that we could call "market cooperation"

- If you are saving faircoin and you have enough, but also you are storing some bitcoins, or could be liked to do it, you could cooperate to creating buying walls at the level of 1000 - 2200  (going more close to 2200 if you are more likely tu buy and more close to 1000 if you really dont want to buy) this is very important to create trust in the market for people that dont have enough with all our plans  Wink

- If you need to sell big amounts of faircoin, because for example you need to pay some bills, return a loan, or... you got you buy wall filled and you really dont want to save more faircoin,  you can PM me; i have contact with investors willing to buy big amounts that they dont could get in the market easily.

Like you know we are working in set up fairmarket in january. (dont know yet the exact deadline)  to make this possible at real life level, we need to build a market with:
- stability enough. (no more than 10% daily spread), to create enough stability for price reference.
- volume enough to make possible and easier to get in and get out, for consumers and producers.

So if you wants to be involved in faircoin, the exchange market is one of the fronts where you can help  Smiley

pd: right now yet all my buys has been filled, and i will not have more until 2 days, so is a good moment to find some replacements  Wink

pd2: i think that there are not more than 2-3 milions of faircoin able to be sold in open market at short term (most of people is saving for long term), so this 150000 sold in bittrex is already about 5-7% of this...  Wink

Yep, there will always be people to jump in and out the train quickly to make a quick profit, as an open market it just happens.
At 3000 satoshis Faircoin is cheap as chips.
