I changed the font with verdana ( same as faircoop site ) and i made other versions with some small variations, check the gallery.

Thanks, the suggestions look great! Would you mind to change 'faircoin' to 'FairCoin'. I suppose that's actually the way we write it. At least we could define it here right now.

Is there a reason you're moving away from this design? http://fair-coin.org/images/FairCoin.png This is the FairCoin logo. Would be great to narrow the designs? I supply you with some layered image data I think.

i moved away only because for buttons simple images are more clear on lower resolution, new gallery here with official logo:

As i understood, the proposal from jack is an image that could work with the http://www.chip-chap.com app
you can see there that  every way of payment have a rectangular image, not a circular one, like our logo.
So i see that this could be useful.

Otherwise the company is free about choosing this image with the oficial logo or with another one...
If you search about bitcoin you can get a lot of not official logos being spread... and it works!

Could you please try to use the silver plate with the engraved 'FairCoin' letters and the standard logo?

It makes me wonder what would happpen if you break the frame with the logo (having the logo become part of the frame, by increasing the coin size and/or decreasing the frame size...)

I want to run a staking node on the original RaspberryPi.  How big is the blockchain and how big will it be in a years time from now?

at the moment my faircoin folder on windows machine is less than 118MB for about 88000 blocks ( a block every 3.3 min. ) an 8GB SD card will last for years

The upcoming version of the FairCoin client software will be an important step for the Faircoin development!!

IT will not only be a hard fork release, it is in fact more like releasing a completely new coin. The existing block chain will been converted to make use of the much faster and proven SHA256 hash algorithm. This gives us 2 major advantages:

    It is much easier to port existing software that was written for Bitcoin to the FairCoin network.
    E.g. The Bitcoin wallet for android, the Electrum Bitcoin wallet, libbitcoin, etc.

    Much better performance! The scrypt hash algorithem that was used up until now is much slower compared to the SHA256 hash algorithm.


Also one important step will be the solve of the mintpal claimed coins problem with this new release

The new block chain will contain a special block that recovers about 4,000,000 FAIR that were freely distributed at the start of FairCoin back in March 2014 and have never been used since then or are simply lost.
