I would be also able to donate 0.2 BTC to impulse the entering in a major altcoin exchange or several minor ones, if necessary.

I hope more people do the same and we impulse faircoin in this little deaceleration moment (at least in trading matters).

I don't have access to my bank account right now and I locked myself out of my MintPal account, so I'll make my donation this evening Smiley

Hi,

I'm happy to announce that the first public beta phase of the brand new FairCoin Android Wallet will be starting shortly.

Every tester will receive the amount of 10 FAIR which he will then send to a given donation address within one week. After that week we sum up the amount of the actual returned coins and calculate the fairness index out of it. Hope it will be 100%. The donation will go to our faithful community designer SomeRelax, which continues to support FairCoin in such a great way.

The beta phase will not start before the 16th of October 18:00 GMT.

If you are interested in testing the new wallet please PM me.

See here:

What's the account losts?

My FAIR balance should be arount 200k, but now it's zero!
WTF!

Is a problem with ALL the faircoin balances in mintpal, so we are all pending of this as a whole community.

Is there any body else having the same problem?

everybody who has faircoins on mitpal has the same problem. :/

I didnt moved them away before mintpal/moolah shows its real professionalism. People who trusted them, like me, are sucked now...lesson learned.

I would love to donate btc to get on bittrex but all I have is a lot of faircoins which hopefully didnt get lost on that stupid "exchange"

I submitted a ticket to ask but had no response yet.

I was waiting to they solve the problem with 8000 accounts lost, that is yet a more visible mess.
Yesterday said "All missing accounts have imported, we are running a balance audit on these before making them live"
https://twitter.com/moolah_io/status/519870131833298944

When this get a final result, we would need to be more incisive for the solution on the faircoin balances.

I've appealed to this new exchange ColdCryptos from the founders of the Facebook Multicoin Tipping App in their forum about adding Faircoin.  If anyone wants to add too or follow the thread.  I've already had success in asking them to add Anoncoin.

My Buys on faircoins only will be possible if before i have sold it
All the benefits of this manual action, will be donated to the Technical infraestructure fund of Fair Coop

I've endorsed FairCoin on comkort, it should be votable soon (https://comkort.com/vote#FAIR).
Hopefully they'll ninja add it once they find out what a beauty FairCoin is Smiley

The no-questions-asked-fee is 1 BTC (Forks with more than 1 BTC paid votes would be added during 12 hours.)

There is clearly an urgent need for an exchange atm, but i am not sure about rushing into this small exchanges, just for security reasons.

With so many new or unknown exchanges out there we expose the risk of a hack or simply the exchange to close down and we will loose a bunch of coins.

Perhaps we should concentrate in Bittrex until Mintpal is back up and running, hoping there is no loss in faircoins @Mintpal.

Also i think we need just one exchange, that will give us better control on the value.

Just an idea.

They've accepted to put the coin up for voting on whether to add it or not.  The more exchanges the better even if they're new and small exchanges.  As it helps to decentralise the trading of Faircoin and adds much needed redundancy to the likes of the current MintPal problem.

Thx guys. I will look into faircoin. Seems like it is promising. Could somebody give me an unbiased answer if it wise to buy now off market or wait until Mintpal reopens? I am looking for a good entry price. Will presumably the price rise after Mintpal opening or will people try to get out and sell and price goes down?

There is clearly an urgent need for an exchange atm, but i am not sure about rushing into this small exchanges, just for security reasons.

Also i think we need just one exchange, that will give us better control on the value.

Just an idea.

Agreed that we should take security reasons into consideration. So I really want to recommend to focus on Bittrex (or Cryptsy) for that matter - especially for the funding! I feel that those (together with MintPal when they have put their machinery together again and fix this mess) are the exchanges that should be capable to handle the volume that FairCoin will cause.

The more exchanges the better even if they're new and small exchanges.  As it helps to decentralise the trading of Faircoin and adds much needed redundancy to the likes of the current MintPal problem.

I too don't see too much harm in small exchanges adding FairCoin to their portfolio. It's a free market and buyers should pay attention where they stash their money (preferably not in an exchange...).

Looking at the future, I wonder what the role of exchanges will be. Eventually more and more FairCoin will leave the exchanges. The upcoming Android app is yet another example of that.

People who want to get in or out of Faircoin need exchanges.  So the more of them the better and you should never ever store your coins on an exchange long term.  Apart from ones you plan on immediately trading or don't mind losing.  Even on so called big and trusty exchanges.  if you don't own your private keys then you don't really own your cryptocoins.

Is true that the more exchanges the better for altcoins, but i think the way Faircoin is going we should focus in Bittrex atm.
Centralisation is not good, i agree with that, but for the time being is the best for Faircoin.
And yeah, sadly you can only keep coins in any exchange if you can afford to loose them.
