Sure, we are working on the port of all the wallets.

excellent last time i checked on github repo was on 2.3.3 now is on 2.7.0 


with old version i've experienced some missing python dipendency for my hardware wallet so i've decide to postpone to a future release.

the funds of the crowdinvestment campaign was finished. There are new supports and partnerships coming together with faircoin 2.
Now we are just in a "bridge moment"  The better is for coming

Call for nodes wanting to join Faircoin 2.0 launch

The time for the faircoin 2.0 launch is coming.
The code is quite ready in github: https://github.com/faircoin/faircoin2
The white paper was updated and followed months ago: https://chain.fair-coin.org/download/FairCoin2-white-paper-V1.1.pdf

We plan to launch the new blockchain based in proof of cooperation(POC), around final of september or beginning of october.  One of the main characteristics of POC is that running the blockchain will become a task of the nodes which has proof that can be trustable by the network, for cooperate in the faircoin blockchain security. This proof process is what we call Certification. And then the nodes,becomes Certified Validation nodes (CVN)

Thats why we need to make this “Call for nodes”, before the launch. Our decentralized welcome team composed by people from the faircoop working group about CVN and from the local faircoop nodes, will participate in selecting and accepting the petition that will come.
At least 15 CVN are needed for begin the blockchain with enough reliability and resilence.

4.6 How to join

If you are interested in setup a CVN, write us at cvn@fair-coin.org. Around the 7th to the 8th of September 2016 we are going to publish a form to officialy begin the process of CVN acceptance, and we will notify you to fill in the application form as it comes available.

and we are going to review the petitions in the following days.

Please do that register before september 25 in order to be included between the CVN that are going to be part of the launch of faircoin 2.  Anyway after this timeline, the process for being a CVN will remain open all the time in order to achieve a broad and resilent network of nodes.

In the telegram group for CVN there is 25 people. The email has been sent by around 8, but many of them has not done it because
are already active in the group.

Also, we are planning a collective pruchase of Rasbperry pi, to  promote and make easier to anyone to host a CVN

Would it just be plug & play a device ? Or is professional hardware and senior programming/ technical skills needed ?

It can be in any device, so is more close of the first option, and many people can do it.

Yes, it is a problem because you need physical access to the CVN

not necessarly a bad thing, having all nodes on a VPS doesn't seems exactly decentralized especially when most of server or vps are in the hands of aws/ovh/digitalocean unfortunately some providers offers limited or partial access to their network equipment like mine.
