i am fan of bittrex but am beginning to be nervous about trading there. if they can't vet the code themselves they should have it vetted by a third party

so many butthurt people in this thread.

stop blaming Bittrex. Blame yourselves. exchanges are not responsible for your losses.

I enjoyed reading the last 20 pages of this thread while drinking my coffee. You guys should invest in real coins like CLOAK and stop chasing a quick buck with these obvious scams.

hey if its obvious, then why does Bittrex support them?  If its up to jo schmo to review the code why cant bittrex?

So its settled then, Bittrex is where you go for scams.

I go to bittrex to trade real coins like CLOAK because it has nice volume and I like their platform.

Sorry for the lack of updates.  I don't think we will be turning this back on.  The block-chain is completely compromised, any rogue wallet can mint any amount of coins at will.
well, correct me if i am wrong .. what you mean to say is :" sorry guys for getting fucked by a coin we added, better luck next time." ?? i don't want to act like a jack-ass, forgive me, but we trusted your exchange with our hard earned coins, and we suppose that a reputable exchange will add verified legit coins.. do something to fix the mess you are partially responsible for, even if you Rami have to take over the coin and roll it back or what ever, or at least pay back the people a reasonable amount of their losses.  Our trust in your exchange is at stake here.

USB coin got 277btc volume for a day and this market seriously injured like 90% traders whose money hopelessly lost due to the negligent policy of your exchange. I guess that it would be fair to convert average USB price into BTC and refund accounts that have USB on balance. As instant, (ATH + ATL)/2 = (0.00004390+0.00000031)/2=0.00002210 per USB. Majority of us bought in this range. Think about this. Or lets ponder another solution

While this technically isn't Bittrex's responsibility, it could well spell the end of them as an exchange unless they make drastic changes to their coin adding procedures. A LOT of people's trust will be heavily shaken by this ... knowing that at any point while trading on Bittrex stuff like this can happen. It just doesn't inspire much confidence.

wow you are really butthurt to make such accusations. Its ok man I understand your pain. I would be pissed too if I lost money chasing a scamcoin without doing any real research in hopes of making a quick buck.

You deserved to get scammed and calling me a scammer isn't going to change anything, your BTC is gone, poof. Dev is ordering hookers and blow as we speak using your hard earned BTC.

peace.

If they had put a simple hold on those big withdrawalls the situation would have been salvagable but they screwed thier consumer base due to thier greed.
Lets see how much $$ they make when NOONE is trading on thier scammy exchange.

Why don't just freeze that two scam accounts at bittrex that dumped and return all btc to clients? Admins easily can do this.

cant bittrex public the ip adress from These acount which sold the x Million coins ?
i think this would be no Problem , and maybe These guy doesnt hide his ip

i dont invest Money , but my minded coins " 10k " are worthless
but someone who owns 150k Dollar from some illegal Actions
would be interesting for some People anywhere on These planet
what should he do after he got visited ?
go to the Police and told them that some guys rape his ass
and stole his Money which he earned by  scamming People ?

what i try to say is .... if i take notice that my neighbour earn 200k Dollar from
any illegal Actions ...  it was hard to not rob the Money from him

Here's my suggestion for stopping scam coins.

All new coin dev must report where the code is forked from and provide full details of all changes before getting listed on any exchanges. This will make it much easier to verify the safety of the code.

You didn't check the code yourself? Or pay someone else to check it for you? If you had taken that extra step then perhaps you wouldn't have lost your BTC.

When you buy a used car don't you take it to a mechanic to check it out before buying?  Or do you take the sellers word for it? If you buy a used car without having a mechanic look at it and it turns out to be a lemon money pit, its YOUR FAULT.

also, eat a bag of dicks, you just mad you got scammed.
