Where does the capital to purchase the reserve come from? Are you going to pay for the gold that backs the coins we mine?
Initially I am providing all bullion reserves for the coin.  Once there is an established value of the coin it will become self sufficient.  We will be selling some of the coins that we mine over the long term as "certified clean coins" much the same as with "clean" Bitcoins, which are sold at a premium to investors, and mutual funds.

I love the background on that picture. Run down and everything. It seems like they sold their house or something to buy all those GPUs, lol.

GPUs don' need no fancy backgrounds! As long as its cool and the power supply is stable GPUs are happy to do their job.
Tho I've seen this picture in late 2013 and it was cool back then. Not so cool nowadays, just a pile of garbage that generates close to 0 profit  Undecided

Can you provide proof that the reserve exists? Where is it located? Who can access it? Is it secured? Is there an escrow arrangement?

I've been accumulating bullion for years now, and never had a good purpose to put it toward other than sitting in a safe.  The bullion can be accessed by me as the creator of the coin, and me alone.  There are three separate storage sites for the reserves. One private location, one bank deposit box, and one gold vault facility which is independently audited yearly.  Based on this coins progression we will also submit ourselves to an independent audit by a CPA firm on yearly basis.  Our parent company who has provided the working capital for this project will require us to be audited anyway.
Keep the questions coming guys. We will be as transparent as possible during this launch and through the life of the coin.  We need your support as a community and as miners in order to help us change the crappy state of finances in this country.  Our goal is to help further legitimize digital currency as a whole, and this will be a huge step in that direction.  We truly appreciate the support, and we welcome constructive criticism.  We are only 11 days away from launch!!!!!  This is gonna be BIG!!!

Great question!!  We are planning some giveaways, and a few bounties as well for projects - Like a MAC wallet, additional nodes, even pictures with our tee-shirts on in random places.  (Yeap - free tee-shirts coming.  I hope you're planning on attending a few conferences...)  We are also working with larger miners to get on board and stay on board to ensure the stability and security of our network.  This way we can avoid ANY fork in our blockchain.

Hello everyone, I try not to spread FUD and welcome everyone to check my history that reflects this. I like trying to support as many alts as I can, but something here seems fishy. If I am wrong, I apologize in advance, and hopefully we'll all continue on our way. I will try to be precise yet concise in my questions to save everyone time. I will include links as well as screen shots of critical information of what I'm most worried about to make sure everything is available. Again, if I'm way off on this, I humbly apologize.

Timeline of events:

Dev begins a twitter account on July 22nd and sends a series of tweets about the new coin.

Blockchain: http://188.226.197.228

Here is my question. The blockchain shows the first block being mined on June 24th with a reward of 50 coins and the second block being mined on July 26th with a reward of 36 coins which is consistent with the coins specs. Many coins began to be mined at 1 diff.
Link: http://188.226.197.228/chain/BIGBullion?hi=19&count=20
Imgur: https://i.imgur.com/PTsZDs0.png

As of now, the link to the blockchain shows that the coin is on block 1618 with a difficulty of 788,578.

Wow, amazingly detailed detective work.  Let's wait for the dev to explain.  I doubt he would launch a coin that already has thousands of blocks mined.

Bakeo,

Thank you for being diligent and helping protect the ALT coin world!!  We need people like you among us to help make sure crap coins do not rip people off - so KEEP IT UP!!!  (Seriously no sarcasm here.)

Now on to the topic at hand.  A "premine" is defined as coins that are taken out during the creation process of the coin.  Hence the name PRE-mine as in before mining.  We did not do this.  That is why the white paper states no premine.  However; if you look at post #17 on this BTC Talk thread I clearly explained that there would be a dev mining period where we will mine between .85-1% of the coins for normal development payouts.  We are also using this time period to test the network, nodes, and our primary pool vendor.
Keep any and all questions coming!

In that case, I think the term "no premine" is deceitful, as what you are doing has the exact same result as a 1% premine.  I have no problem with it, but call it what it is.

Now on to some of (Not all) the good stuff:

BIG Bullion
This is going to be BIG.

#1) What’s missing in our world of digital currency?  A currency that is backed up by something substantial to help support it during the bad times, and to be the gold standard during the good times.  Much like the times of old when the US Dollar was backed by real tangible gold there was no inflation and people had something to count on.  Through the years this stability was torn down piece by piece.  The normal citizen’s safety and comfort stripped away so that wealth could be condensed into a small percentage of people, and so that the government could perverse our monetary system to their own will.   Today we begin the process of fixing this.  Bitcoin was born with the promise of giving people equal access to money regardless of their location or their status.  Through our launch we are expanding on that promise with BIG Bullion.  Similarly we embrace the promise of Bitcoin, and we offer the citizens of the world – the 99%, the stability of a currency backed by Gold, Silver, & Platinum.   This is the stability that we all deserve.

#2) Since the time that crypto currency began it’s been amazing.  Period.  But we’ve been missing something.   There’s been a gap in our digital economy.   In every investment portfolio there’s always a group of supporting investments sitting and waiting for the down times to give stability to the portfolio so that it doesn’t lose all of its value.   Something like US Treasury notes, government or municipal bonds, or you guessed it – Gold, Silver, or Platinum Bullion.  These particular investments offered stability to retirement funds, mutual funds, etc.  BIGBullion will offer the same to funds that specialize in Digital currencies.

#3) But what if the digital currency world gets too choppy for me?   It’s not like I could get the gold instead of the coin.  Yes you can.  Let me repeat that.  Yes you can redeem your BIGBullion coins for their bullion equivalents.

We have anticipated that BIG Bullion will create a ton of excitement in our world, and as such we are partnering with a large data center to commit to a specific level of mining to ensure that there are NO hard forks, and to keep our network consistent and safe.  We are also putting in place a mandatory holding period for investors who wish to trade their coins for bullion.  This way for those that wish to hold and wait for the value to appreciate they can do so without fear of a run on our reserves.

The question that remains now is how much bullion are you backing this with?Huh  How much are the coins initially worth???  We are pledging to back this coin through its entire life.  From launch through the first halving of mining (147,000 blocks) we will back the coin with bullion, and add to our reserves each time 1% of the coins are mined.   This way the initial reserves will not be diluted when more coins are mined.  At each halving we will increase our reserves by the same factor as the halving.  This way we are significantly increasing the value of the coins (in relation to their bullion reserves) each time a halving occurs.  We decided that this was the best route to go in order to develop a long term investment, and to give our miners incentive to mine and hold the coins.

Much like the founding members of this country – We prefer a system that is transparent and honest.  There is no official “Premine” however, there is a developer mining period that is taking place where between .85 – 1% of the coins will be mined.  These coins will be held for investment by the devs, some given away, some used to pay bounties for projects, and some will be presold to those that helped support the project as it was being developed.   The devs will post the primary wallet ID on the website for all to see, and it can be inspected on the block chain to guarantee transparency.

Ok, ok already!! Where’s the WALLET!!!!!? We will post the wallet on our website for download, but it will be password protected.   We will officially launch the coin during the Cryptolina Bitcoin conference in Raleigh NC.  We will tweet the password during our presentation on the official launch day – August 15th!  Once that happens mining will open and the fun will begin!

Bakeo - Deceitful is powerful word.  This quote is from the first statement we made concerning a private or developer mining period.  If we had stated anything that contradicted this prior to this post or after then I would say - sure it could be considered deceitful; however, you failed to read the post and are now attacking us for you not reading?  It's not like the thread is that long yet.

In any case we have been and will continue to be totally transparent concerning our operation and support of this coin.  We welcome feedback, questions, and constructive criticism. We won't accept trolls, or unwarranted attacks.  The entire dev team has worked too hard and invested too much time away from friends and family to make this coin a reality and a success to allow it to be tarnished by anyone.

With all that being said - if there are any other questions or issues please let us know!  Again we want any and all feedback that folks want to share with us.  All that we ask is that the feedback is given in a respectful manner.  Thanks guys!
