I am sorry if this sounds weird, but isn't a 1% premine much, considering it would take a very long time to reach 100k coins by mining coins? Each block takes 10 minutes and brings 36 coins. So it would take 2777 blocks to get a large amount of coins in esistence then the premine itself. So that's 12 days. I off course do know that backing a currency with real life assets will be expensive, but I do find this a little bit odd. I hope I can get an explanation about this. If I am wrong, then sorry about my ignorance.

The sheer fact that the directory of the wallet doesn't go where every coin ever goes is enough to make me not want to mine this.  That and the obvious blundering and confusion that has been bouncing around for a while on top of a reputable pool operator saying the code sucked.
