You've given BetVIP a C-.

Notice that 2 very important questions were asked of them on their thread on June 10th and June 12th.

They have yet to respond.

When I tried to login just now, there was a lot of nonsense and a captcha which I don't trust and advise all not to click on it.

See the last 3 posts in their thread - I explain further in the latest post:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=516644.new#new

Gogo- I'll see if I can get a hold of someone there and see if they can reply here.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.
Advertised sites are not endorsed by the Bitcoin Forum. They may be unsafe, untrustworthy, or illegal in your jurisdiction.

Gogo to BetVIP
Quote
Good luck on getting a timely response.

Their T&C has a lot of onerous language - it reads as if they will try to hold onto the funds of a big winner by making the person prove they are in a country where it is legal to bet online.
Basically a freeroll.

No problem depositing btc. But if you want to withdraw...

Hello everyone,

We started a new forum thread when we became officially licensed. This is the old thread - hence no further discussion. The previous questions were answered personally.

The CAPTCHA is *not* standard procedure. It is occasionally used (as many bitcoin sportsbook providers do, I can assure you) by Cloudflare our DDOS protection service during times of attack. Cloudflare has detected your browser has been compromised, I would suggest you do a scan for the safety of your own coins.

The IP block is in place because we are a fully legitimate,  legal, licensed book unlike all the others out there. We have a focused long-term view for the business and as such do not want our directors or investors to be prosecuted upon travelling to or from the United States. You are more than welcome to Google BetVIP and read several of the high profile reports in the Wall Street Journal, eGaming Review and Daily Telegraph among others. We have a large player base outside of the Bitcoin talk gambling forum because of this. Bitcoin has become far more widespread than the few hundred users which actively frequent this forum.

We have never denied paying a user out in the past for any reason whatsoever and I do not see this changing. If, jeremypwr,  you want to risk your coins at one of the illegitimate books out there please don't be surprised if they actually do go under like Bitcoinlivebets.  We have only been absolutely transparent from the beginning and there is no need for slander in this community,

Kind regards,
Daniel Schwartzkopff
MD/Founder

The way that I read it is that BetVIP is making sure to cover themselves legally but will pay everyone without the red tape. If anyone is playing there, please post your experiences.

my mistake. I just put them in the "F" category. They did give 10 days for players to be paid but there were some players that missed seeing the post and weren't paid.

Hi all,

I have been using DirectBet for a while but unfortunately as of late they've not been meeting the standards I'd expect of a book.

Only thing is, they're the only sportsbook I know to take dogecoin bets - I have looked around a few of the others (not all), just wondering if anyone knows any other legit books accepting dogecoin bets?!

Thanks!

Webetcoins accepts dogecoin but the site has a lot of down time and is currently under DDoS attack. There have been reports of payouts taking 24 hours or more although no one has been stiffed. I hope the best for this site since the owner seems like a good, honest guy.

Thanks - it certainly is a shame with regards to DirectBet, and I'd like to apologize to you for attacking you in their thread a month or so ago... at the time I felt DirectBet where offering a great service, but as of now with the things that have happened lately there... I'm not so sure.

Cheers again

Grumpster- It's no problem at all. I act very unprofessional in his thread. If you have any positive or negative experiences with other books, please post them.

Hey guys,

We've got a review up at BitcoinGamblingSites.com

Please check it out Smiley

Review site has no credibility.

His #1 book is bitcasino.io
A visit there reveals that their full range of offerings include about 2 dozen soccer matches.
Period.
Nothing else offered.

Awesome, and certainly deserving of #1.

Any chance some btc changed hands in return for this review?
The only other possibility is that the reviewer is the owner of bitcasino.io

Not even listed in this thread in the books with no reports.

#2 book BetCoinSports - Not even possible to view their site without setting up an account first.
I wouldn't consider doing that. Why should I give my email to a site that I may look at once I get inside and decide I'm not interested. This is the only btc sportsbook with such an insane policy.
It's like a store that says "You can only enter and see what we're selling AFTER you provide us with some of your personal information."
Buh bye.

#3 is BetVIP.
OK then.
