33% PoW blocks and 67% PoS blocks delivering 1 ORB each Considering 20 ORB staking +1 ORB every 10 days, it's 1*(365/10)/20=183% per annum. Compound interest earns (1+1/20)^(365/10)=593% per annum. Things are more complicated in reality, so actual earnings are somewhere between the two above. by Ghostlander https://cryptocointalk.com/topic/929-orbitcoin-orb-information/page-46I'm going to finish a wallet update in a few days, so Orbitcoin can switch to NeoScrypt by block #1M. I have also improved staking performance by 2 to 3 times already. We are going to contact all exchanges anyway when it's ready. My intention is to reduce the min. age for staking from 5 days to 1 day. Right now, it's a bit more profitable to keep 20 ORB inputs for staking rather than larger ones by following the automatic split/combine process. Let's suppose an input produces a stake when it reaches 200 coin days. If there are two inputs 20 ORB each, they spend 5 days at zero weight and 10 more days to reach 200 coin days each (20 per day). So, they stake about every 15 days and make 8 ORB in 60 days. If there is one input of 40 ORB, it also spends 5 days at zero weight and 5 more days to reach 200 coin days (40 per day). It stakes about every 10 days and makes 6 ORB in 60 days. That's a large 25% difference. If the min. age is 1 day, a 20 ORB input stakes every 11 days and a 40 ORB one in 6 days. Two inputs of 20 ORB each make 12 ORB in 66 days and one input of 40 ORB makes 11 ORB also in 66 days. That's an acceptable 8% difference. If you keep the staking process automatic with a suggested 20 ORB combining threshold and 40 ORB splitting threashold, an average input amount up for staking is 30 ORB. To follow the examples above, it stakes in 7.7 days with a 5% difference which is rather negligible. for everyone here. if ORB halved in price, you have 296.5% profit if you use Staking ORB !!! If the price you've doubled 1,186% profit and with a low energy consumption! Only hold ORB and use to staking! where is the risk?

We have ended our partnership with Coinpayments! Coinpayments tried to blackmail us, and after we have found many shop's for they! We are now looking for a new payment processor! Anyone can contact us. We are willing to pay for services from the ORB Advance Fund! One-time payments will not happen! We do not want price Destroyer! We want a long term partnership, not someone ripping us to make money quick. Thus payments monthly basis or quarterly basis are just better possible! After providing a performance!
Edit Now additional! We are willing to pay for a good service or a good work! But first the work, then the salary! This is the normal way! We are tired of empty promises!

Orbit looking good guys. I will add that the trend now with all high POS coins is a multipool. Hyperstake and Tekcoin can be mined at http://thepool.pw/ . I would love to mine this coin with a multipool. Also now that its 1 day stake, what size blocks are suggested for staking? Is it 20 still? Thanks Vegas

I want to make sure everyone knows that I just released my software called "Yobit pump alert". THis is custom software that uses an algo to detect the start of a pump here on yobit, the second it starts. YOu can even filter the coins you see by price. Most pumps start less than 100 sats , so you can easily filter the cheap coins, so they are the only ones displayed https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1945937.msg20241953#msg20241953

The minimum for staking is 20 ORB still.
Must say I don't like coin switching pools aka multipools because they destroy small coins and leave loyal miners with less profit. Not good to do this to other coins even if it benefits your favourite coin.

Good point. What are your thoughts on a multi-algo. I see the pos as sha-256. What are your thoughts about making this mineable by sha-256 in the future?

PoS is low energy hashing, therefore SHA-256d fits fine and it's not worth the effort of switching it to a different algorithm. PoW should stay ASIC free. It's not good to have several algorithms for PoW. Increased complexity, reduced security. If an attacker compromises one algorithm of those few, he may screw the whole network. It's difficult to do block trust balancing across several algorithms. None of the existing coins does it properly, but who cares?
